I’m not a fan of the show, personally, but it has little to do with Boruto himself. It’s actually the side characters and childish plots that turned me off. I’ve tried getting past the first 100 episodes a few times and just couldn’t. Seeing Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke pop off as adults is awesome, though. I know it gets better as it goes and that the manga is good, and I do think they should check it out themselves, but Boruto himself is by no means the biggest problem of that show.

in boruto is everything canon, there are no fillers but many episodes feel like it :) the first part has 293 episodes after that comes (time skip 1-2 years) two blue vortex but thers only the manga now, we dont know when the anime comes back. we waiting since 2023 for a new anime to apear.

Funny enough Shippuden doesn't adapt the last chapter of Naruto. They straight up didn't adapt chapter 700 until Boruto so people who only watched until Shippuden technically didn't finish the manga canon

People complaing about Boruto is mostly beacause Boruto (character) isn't perfect and is more closel to normal human being with flaws. People went wild and started bitching, that he acts so immature etc. but that is what makes him cool, and we can see journey about his character development. Boruto isn't perfect for sure, but the reason why people don't like it is so stupid. It's like Naruto didn't have fillers... I was on part with Naruto since 2007 and let me tell you that fillers was super annoying back then too, and u couldn't skip it like now if you binge watch it. The same people who binge watch Naruto without fillers now have the same experience with Boruto as we had with Naruto. I honestly think If anything Michelle would love Boruto for the slice is life vibes it gives in the beginning, I think Ron would think it's okay in the beginning and eventually warm up to what the show is supposed to be. I think people forget they created a time of peace and the show starts off with them being younger than Naruto was, so it's not going to be anything "crazy". Let the world build, let them enjoy it. BROTHER. Hiruzen had to stop an Uchiha coup, fight the ninetails, watch Danzo and stop Orochimaru's invasion. Throwing money at Naruto is not the way to look after him (or any child even irl) . He was also traumatised from the first time ninetails rampaged. The whole village hated Naruto so it would be very unwise to give Naruto that much attention as the Hokage. Especially when Hiruzen came from the warring period. He was so used to being a people pleaser because that's how you prevent wars (that's what he thought). My issue with Boruto wasn’t the story but how they treated Kishimoto and his work. Before Boruto came out there was a lot of negativity and I personally was one of those that was like we SHOULD give it a try. Kishimoto was basically done with Naruto verse and wanted to make another manga (Samurai 8). The studie told him he can’t unless he green lights Boruto. That was already the first red flag. Why the guy that gave that company 20+ years of his life needs to give you something to try a new endeavor? 2 him green lighting Boruto but not being on the writing team was another red flag. Samurai 8 wasn’t very good but it also wasn’t as bad as they made it seem and it got axed immediately. After Boruto was getting many terrible reviews also. It kind of felt calculated by the company. Axing Kishimoto’s passion project while the child he created (Naruto universe) is doing bad. Is basically forcing him to come back and fix it. Another thing about it is that even though it was an obvious cash grab by the company they clearly didn’t know their demographic. Naruto was basically a family member/ family friend for most long time fans. Most people started watching Naruto in high school the same age as him. And when it ended we also was the same age, starting our careers being our own Hokages. Starting our own families. Because respect for yall I won’t go into spoilers. But they didn’t understand their Demographic with the way they started and just wanted money. But it’s so dumb because we the adults had adult money. When we were kids we couldn’t imagine asking our parents for 40$ to buy a Naruto figure or hoodie merch or something. Now you thing we had our own money we wouldn’t have blown $$$$ on Naruto? And lastly it having almost 300 episodes and 75% is filler is terrible. The manga was bimonthly and the started the anime soon after without any material to animate. The cash grab greed really what pushed me off Boruto knowing what I grew up with from Naruto just felt like a spit in the face to the fans and Kishimoto. And even though Kishimoto is back writing it just felt at that point he was forced and what’s the point? Anyways this my last time my Boruto bad talk. While I won’t follow Boruto I’ll still watch other shows so we good.

Kishimoto being "back" really isn't what makes Boruto better. The main complain about boruto is the "anime canon" episodes, which is basically a fancy name for fillers, and it represents more than 70% of Boruto episodes (out of the 298 episodes, only 74 are manga canon, and a dozen are mixed canon/filler. Everything else is either complete filler, or "anime canon" stuff that tries to add some development to characters you really don't care about). The manga canon story is decent, from start to finish, Kishimoto or not. The recent events are hyped up because it's like a Naruto to Naruto Shippuden transition, Boruto recently started its "part 2".

Alot of boruto hate (expected) lol. I would say the shortcomings of boruto was that at first different writer and illustrator made people not want to give it the night of day. In the anime, the show suffered by the animation studios being stretched thin. Bad scheduling and things (which you will see very specifically on the final boruto arc) caused the quality for imo one of my favorite parts of the manga to feel less. Overall the anime is a good 7 if you take all the bs out but the manga canon is just such a good 8-9/10.

It ain't that deep, some things tie into the canon to make it flow better and some details in the manga and databooks allows the anime to flesh it out. If that is your logic, would you prefer them to watch the boruto movie over the anime arc?

I finished the Boruto anime so far. The show is good and has its ups and downs and the way they handled the story was kinda meh. But to be honest the peak of Boruto literally starts right where the anime leaves off, so once they start part 2 of the show it will really cook. I see it as a Boruto and Boruto Shippuden vibe.

Boruto manga is good, anime is bad, simple as that. The anime canon episodes can be soooo boring and that's why people hate boruto because like 75+ % of the episodes are filler/anime canon. The problem is that you can't skip the anime canon episodes either because you miss out on a lot of character development.

Regardless I know Ron and Michelle are going to love Boruto for the exact same reasons I did and I can't wait for the conversations about Naruto and Sasuke IFYKYK ya the animations not there sometimes but hey. They love Narutos story they'll enjoy it for the real reasons we love naruto.

Powerscaling in Boruto ain't that bad imo. In the filler definitely, but the manga canon makes sense if you digest all of the information from the novels, and notes left in the physical manga chapters and databooks.

There is just wayyyyyyyyy too much filler in Boruto that does not add to the canon story and is completely pointless. Many people found it very boring to follow it. It didnt help that all these fillers came at the start of the show. Fillers are fine if they help give more info for estabalished characters, but not if they are used to add tiny info to non-critical characters. It shows lazy writing The irony is this reaction gave you a glimpse of how it felt for those who had to wait weeks after weeks and months even, to clear the fillers. That is where the "hate" comes from, the time wasted. The other part is of course how they "adjusted" the power levels. While yes the manga is popular now, you have to remember that part is not in the anime, yet

Unless people are leaving an insane amount of dislikes on the filler episodes, I highly doubt it will affect the algorithm. Even then, the people that dislike will most likely comment below saying not to watch the filler which will only help the algorithm.

Lmao if you skipped the filler you would have gotten some stuff like the movie 😂 and right now in boruto it isn't becoming like naruto exactly it is making us feel the same excitement and emotions as we had when watching naruto. The story is becoming better and more enjoyable for us to follow

Just to clear some things up, Boruto's anime is currently in a hiatus, and what Ron said about people really liking Boruto right now is by what's currently happening in the manga, which feels like a step up in quality over what Boruto has historically been (not saying that earlier Boruto is bad, just that nowadays Boruto is better)

People in the comments saying the hate for boruto is about filler well that not entirely true the animation get soooooooooooo bad for most of it the got lazy it’s just a difference in team that has quite the effect on it. the majority of boruto hate comes from episodes 1-66 (rightfully so) mainly because 70% of even that is filler, but people will tell you regardless to watch all of it because it introduces most of the characters, although i’m personally not a fan of them watching those mainly cus none of those said character ever even play any major role in the future

Ikemoto drew the manga, but Kodachi wrote it. Ikemoto is still involved though and his artwork has improved miles since that first chapter lol, if you are reading the current manga. Kishimoto wrote the first 2 manga canon arcs, Kodachi wrote the next 2 if you count that blob of episodes as two arcs, and Kishimoto got reinvolved from the end of that arc.

Also to answer your question Kishimoto left Boruto to one of his most trusted editors named Ikimoto because Kishimoto was working on a different manga called Samurai 8. He chose to rejoin Boruto because both Boruto and samurai 8 were struggling so he just decided to get back to his primary story

I'm pretty sure at this point that people that complain about Boruto haven't finished it or currently read the manga. They fail to provide an explanation at why they dislike it other than filler. They also say animation is bad, but if you look at naruto, some filler episodes look better than the canon because it's a weekly anime, but we don't talk about that. It's the same for Boruto, nothing's changed, but they both make sure to prioritize what episodes deserve that peak animation. Studio is gonna change to seasonal though, so I would like to see where the complaints go from there.

True filler boruto is around 40-50 but they have like 150-160 episodes or anime cannon which is filler that the mangaka allowed the anime studio to make apart of the cannon story but not his official story

People are hating on Boruto for no reason, you can watch it even with the fillers and you'll have a good time, anime is also to entertain yourself, your mind doesn't have to be blown by a plot twist every single episode. The OG Naruto characters are in Boruto and it's exciting when we're introduced to them as an adults through out the series.
