I don't think they were trying to be funny. Anime's too old for any creator not to know how filler episodes work. This was so effectively annoying I can't see it as an accident. The creator is evil lol

Remember when Goku and Piccolo learned to drive? Filler doesn't have to be frustrating to watch and can even be good I don't know who thought this was funny.
