To be fair, you're slightly mis-construeing. The reason that the principal approves his return is the student councils report. What we see from Miko, however, is that she is the one who started the protest to allow him. My interpretation of the scene with the teacher and then principal is as follows: Miko has been constantly nagging the teacher body to get his side of the story and stop assuming he's the villain. The principal overhears one day and is curious about her protests/claims. Her im-passioned speech about justice with *evidence* (because Ishigami never shared his side of the story) drove the principal to ask the student council to investigate. Then the three of them investigated and uncovered the truth. Then after giving their report to the principal Shirogane took it a step further and understood that someone needed to come tell Ishigami he was in the right so that he would be willing and happy to come back. Which... means that the implied big reveal later.... is that Miko is really the actual reason he's back in school. Probably why she gets so upset about him being so "annoying" and a "rulebreaker" because deep down she knows shes the reason hes even in the school to begin with. To be clear, i've never read the Manga and don't want Manga spoilers because im confident we'll eventually get more after the movie... but that is my interpretation of all of this.

Think how traumatic it would be to find out your bf was secretly filming you. You would never live down that fear. Rumors could spread too. So in the end, Ishigami just wanted to protect her from that reality. It might’ve been for her own good if she learned to be a little more wary, but pick your poison ig..

Not to the extent of Ishigami, but I feel like there's no despair quite like when you feel like no one believes or really sees/hears you. In this case, made even worse by the kids actually going beyond that and ridiculing him. Was tough to see Ishigami struggle with it alone. That scene where the President showed up was just so powerful, the symbolism of the light shining in from the door behind him and enveloping Ishigami with it...chefs kiss. And super impressed that the President knew to let Ishigami get validation from people not just in student council - ultimately we see him grow up before our eyes and understand that if you're true to yourself that's where true strength lies...and f*** the haters lol

At 27:21, it's said Ogino transferred schools and Hayasaka turned to Kaguya, implying if she did something devious but Kaguya denied and wouldn't do so, however she said there are students at the school who are willingly to take "drastic measures", frightening Hayasaka (they even show a character we know in the show who is usually seen as innocent). Second, as Kyoko is happily leaving, Kaguya devilishly wondered what the look of Kyoko's face would be if she just told her the truth, but decided to keep her lips sealed for Ishigami's sake. This was at the end of chapter 90 for those who want to read it.

And also he threatened him saying he would leak her or “take it out on her” if he said anything so there was nothing further he really could have said but damn a lot of ways to look at this. Ishigami is definitely my favorite character of this show but the cast as a whole is just so goated
