2025-02-05 16:07:02 +0000 UTCI personally like Suzaku, I'm a sucker for flawed characters. His biggest flaw is how naΓ―ve he is, thinking he can stop Britannia by rising up the ranks and end the conflicts diplomatically as a contrast to Lelouch who hides and spills blood for his desired outcome. Suzaku also got more interesting with the reveal of his hero syndrome where he looks for an opening to sacrifice himself to atone for what he did, which is masked as him just being a self sacrificing hero. He has some psychological issues which are very subtle and many people fail to pick up on. That's probably also why Erwin is my favorite AOT character as he's not the pure perfect military leader but has a selfish motive disguised as the will to fight for humanity

But like I said, that's why we are here to help, politely ofc. The most important micro details are in my opinion in Lelouch's character and his way of acting. On a macro level there are so many people who say "oh he's just like Light from Death Note, super smart and morally questionable methods". When you think about it, they are pretty opposite. Light is a sociopath who exploited everyone around him, especially Misa, pretends to care about people but was ready to kill his sister to become a "god", Lelouch acts calm and cold blooded but panics and fumbles anytime someone he cares about get involved, like Shirley, Suzaku and especilly Nunnally

2025-02-05 10:35:57 +0000 UTCThis was the moment Suzaku officially became one of the characters I hated the most. His father was the leader of Japan and even though he knew the chances of winning are low he decided that Japan will fight even if they have to die. Suzaku wants his father to surrender so that the Japanese people could live, so he killed his father. The Japanese government without a leader had no choice but to surrender without fighting. Now Suzaku is working for his colonizers and watching as they do heinous things to his people. Now they ask him to die with zero and he is like sure smh
