When Lumiere said goodbye to Nero and died after the fight against the elves, he said that he was glad that he still had the chance to see the faces of his descendants and looked at Noelle and Mimosa. And when he was properly shown in the anime for the first time, his entire name was also shown. His full name is Lumiere Silvamillion Clover. So "Silva" like Noelle Silva and "Million" later "Vermillion" like Mimosa Vermillion. You can clearly see that these two families used to be one at some point. And so Lumiere is related and connected to the Silvas (Noelle, Nozel, Nebra & Solid) and the Vermillions (Mimosa, Kirsch, Leopold, Fuegoleon & Mereoleona) and not to Asta
