I think alot of people don't realize this whole arc was about everyone finding their place. Robin to realize she is an actual friend and nakama and has found a place she belongs and wants to be there Luffy showing why he is the captain, knowing who to fight and winning no matter what Ussop realizing even if there's things he can't do, he should focus on what he can do for the crew Nami even fought an opponent that Sanji couldn't beat, meanwhile Sanji fought an opponent Ussop couldn't beat and Ussop got the handcuff keys when no one else could. And so on so on... Each one has a place in the crew and this arc really shows how they are now an actual crew and not just a bunch of pirates riding together 👌

So here we see the crew actually growing both literally and figuratively. Luffy’s role as captain was challenged and he almost lost his crew, and Zoro really shows he’s the first mate and a true right hand by holding him to a standard as the captain. To put things into perspective, keep in mind that Luffy DID wage war on the world government by shooting that flag. It was not just for show. The WG is a different body from the marines so ul see the results of that going forward. While this arc is good, it only gets better going forward. Can’t wait for u guys to get further in.

The problem from here out is the story is TOO good, the only way the animators could keep up was by drawing out (no pun intended) those fight scenes. Each week of a fight progressing was another week for Oda to focus on the story.

Water 7 is a banger arc. So damn good. I will say the next arc is not one of my favourites. It's very funny, has some great moments and the setting is awesome, but it doesn't hit like Water 7. What follows the next arc is pure gold tho so ya just gotta tough it out if it's not up your alley like this was SUPER looking forward to the next episode. One more to go for Water 7!

This is one of the main reasons Zoro has become my close second favorite character at this point in the arc. Zoro made it clear to everyone that Luffy is their captain, and Usopp needed to take responsibility for his words and actions. They couldn't just let him casually rejoin the crew as if nothing had happened. For me, even though it was never officially stated, Zoro truly felt like THE vice captain of the Straw Hats, stepping in to set things straight. I was really proud that they all, especially Luffy, held out until Usopp genuinely apologized. Also, Franky has officially joined the crew!!! Yow!!! Sadly, on December 22, 2024, at Jump Festa 2025, Franky's voice actor, Kazuki Yao, announced his retirement and passed the torch to his successor, Subaru Kimura, who is known for voicing Todo from Jujutsu Kaisen and Tendo from Haikyuu.

Zoro said if the first thing Usopp says isn't an apology, he wouldn't take him back. That's why both Luffy and Zoro said they couldn't hear anything when Chopper said that Usopp was talking to them. It wasn't until Usopp said I'm sorry was he acknowledged. It's the small details in the writing that really just give you that big warmth inside.

The thing I like is. The whole crew could hear usopp not actually apologising. They agreed the first thing he said had to be an apology. They chose to ignore everything using the cover of fighting as an excuse to give there friend a chance to understand what he did. As soon as the apology came They all responded.

Sorry for this long comment in advance. As said before one of this arcs themes is leadership which was displayed through Luffy, Franky and Spandam(screw this guy). Luffy while having great emotional intelligence, failed to understand why Usopp was upset and responded with his emotions that escalated the conflict. Franky showed the empathy Usopp needed and grieved with him about the Merry, showing a more mature approach to handling that situation. Spandam was shown to be the example of nepotism, incompetence and failure to gain respect of his subordinates. Someone who should not be put in a position of power, even Lucci gave his respect to Luffy for his leadership for willingness to protect his crew while admonishing Spandam. Luffy being called out by Zoro was needed because no matter how easygoing he may be, he is still the captain, not just their buddy. And Usopp needed to realize his bullheadedness needs to be put in check if he wants to achieve his dreams, he made a pledge when shouting out his dreams, something Zoro held him to. I love this series for it's character writing.

Yes, she feels it. Back in Alabast she also felt the pain when the soldiers cut her sprouting arms. Robin grabbing deez nuts gotta be one of the craziest moments in the whole series, lol. Also loved Zoro standing on business as quasi vice captain. As you said Ron, that was real. Seriously real shit when even Sanji is agreeing with him instead of simping for Nami, lol. Zoro is the one keeping Luffy in line when he's not acting like a captain should. He's all about honor, trust and respect.
