That makes me believe that Jinwoo is the awakened catastrophe. And now hearing that the demons were preparing for war against a really strong common enemy... maybe that is Jinwoo as well!!!😭

Jinwoo didn't really made Baran join his army. Collecting baran's soul is no different than the 100k souls he collected before(because it was the mission given to him by the dungeon). He couldn't recruit barukan(the ice elf boss) for example because he was a lot stronger than him. I think it's also the case here. But I'm anime only so maybe I'll be proven wrong next episode idk lol

The animation for this fight was directed by the same guy that did an iconic fight in the new Bleach season as well Also, the reason why Jinwoo's strength increased is because he used one of his skills "ruler's authority" (the telekinetic hand) on himself

Jinwoo basically won with pure kinetic force. As for the explosion it was either the that kinetic force OR when he punched he interrupted the monster doing a blast from the mouth and he shot it in the sky if so that blast would have killed jinwoo so he barely won

Yeah you should've reminded them that their soul is contaminated too it was shown when he was trying to extract them the first time and plus it makes sense cause biblically demons don't have souls

I haven’t read the manhwa so I’m not positive, but I don’t think obtaining Barans soul means he is Jinwoos shadow now. He was gathering souls throughout the castle, his next mission was to obtain Barans soul which he did, he didn’t make him a shadow soldier

Sadly Michelle and Ron were incredibly excited to see that Jinwoo collected Baran's soul but didn't realize that was simply a system notification for the quest to defeat demons in this place and collect their "souls", Baran's included. It wasn't a shadow extraction to add to Jinwoo's shadow army. Friendly reminder that demons he defeats in this place cannot be extracted sadly! Not a complete loss though or walking out empty handed.. let's just leave it at that. No spoilers.
