Lelouch saw their father took everything from him and his sister after their mother died, Lelouch wants to create a good world for his blind and disabled sister! When euphy started following the order, she wouldn't stop, Lelouch needed to stop her and turn the table to his side, so he can be able to work for his initial plan, a good place for Nunnally

Light was a sociopath, Lelouch's weakness is that he cares to the point that he is irrational at times. Euphy was the only sibling Lelouch actually cared about (and Nunnally ofc), but he fucked up big time and said to CC his only option now is to exploit Euphy to the very end by saying it was a trap from Britannia, and even shed tears while saying it. Light had no problem killing his family if needed, and was even planning to do it to not get caught. Lelouch also knows himself a lot of his actions are morally wrong, but believes they are worth it if the outcome is good. Light believed he could do no wrong, as his actions were actions of a god according to him Now Lelouch realizes he has spilled way too much blood to back down, and understands he has to push forward and "destroy" the current system to build a new one

2025-02-26 02:25:24 +0000 UTCMichelle, If it were so easy to deal with hatred between peoples and historical wars, I appreciate your passion for the subject, but it is very complex to make two sides not hate each other, and at any moment one of them will go and destroy what was built over years and with a lot of effort. And as we grow up and get older, we realize that hatred is overwhelming and will not cease to exist until both sides or one of the sides disappears.

2025-02-25 22:36:49 +0000 UTCit’s good to clarify that Lelouch was literally about to go with Euphy’s plan. he was gonna give up on his own quest to so that he could join Euphy and her plan to let Japanese people be their own people again. his Geass ACCIDENTALLY activated and is now permanently turned on. it’s still crappy that he had to twist the situation, but tbh this is kinda the turning point for Lelouch. the “i can’t turn back with my plan” kinda thing cause i’ve gone too far now. at the end of the day, everything is to make a safer world for Nunnally. again, not justifying Lelouch’s behavior, but don’t hate him cause of the world that created him. it’s the beauty of the show tbh

Light was a pure sociopath, he didn't care for anyone, even his family, dude was a demon with no qualms about anything. Lelouch is way more sentimental and complex, his questionable actions are moved by vengeance and hate, but he's still a human, he still cares for his sister, his friends and his brothers (some of them). In his position about killing his sister that he loves, you have two options, dying of regret, or using that circumstance as an opportunity to move your agenda in order to bring the ideal world you dream about, and that was his choice. "The only path left for me is foward!".

Lelouch even changed his plans right before he “used” it on Euphy when they were talking. Since his goal is to create a safer place for Nunally and the specially administered zone under the protection of Euphy and Cornelia would do that. But after his dumb mistake and with the way things went, Lelouch just went with how the coin flipped. He obviously didn’t want things to happen like this.

As for Light, he did everything intentionally, Lelouch did not. Doing Lelouch a little dirty there. As for Euphemia giving freedom to Japan, no .... it was explained like 3 times that it wpuld literally be a small district and thats it. Imagine being given LA (with rules) but everywhere outside of it you were basically indentured servants. He did not "Need to be the mesiah", her plan was flawed, but I get it, everyone loves Euphy but yall have to remember he was going to admit defeat ...
