It’s purely coincidental that the back of Senku's neck remained petrified. When I first watched *Dr. Stone*, my initial theory was that the stone on his neck had remained because Senku isn’t physically strong and was lying on the ground before he broke free from his petrification. I believe Senku must have been aware that there was still a piece of stone on his neck that didn’t break off, which might explain why he cracked and touched his neck—likely because the remaining stone was uncomfortable. At that point, Senku was still figuring out the revival fluid and wasn't fully aware of its healing properties. Fast forward to when Senku learns that the revival fluid can be used for recovery, as demonstrated when it was applied to Yuzuriha’s foot. This probably led him to develop a plan: he would have Tsukasa attack him at the neck. Senku likely realized that Tsukasa might kill him, so he made a habit of touching and cracking his neck in hopes that Taiju and Yuzuriha would notice.

Guys, Senku is pretty smart, but not in an Light or L type of way 😅😅 He didn't leave the piece of stone on his neck on purpose. As we saw in the last episode with Yuzuriha, it can sometimes happen that you remain petrified somewhere on your body after you have been de-petrified. That was also the case with Yuzuriha's toe. Senku is very pragmatic, he knew it would be a waste of de-petrifying fluid if he used it on his neck. His neck was probably just a little stiff, and that was something Senku could bear. Yuzuriha's toe was a different matter as she would most likely not be able to walk or run properly in serious situations. He just tried as best as he could to subconsciously draw Tsukasa's attention to his neck. That was probably the only mind game Senku played 😂 I mean, he knew that the de-petrifying fluid would save him after Tsukasa killed him.

To clarify, when Taiju and Yuzuriha were talking she said that Senku was inviting Tsukasa to attack his neck because he had that last piece of petrification there. He was cracking his neck for that reason. He didn’t leave it there predicting he would be attacked, some times small petrification pieces are left after being “revived” like with Yuzuriha, Senku just made a big brain call to bring attention to his neck in Tsukasa’s presence because once that piece is removed it heals the area around where it was, so by having Tsukasa break his neck and then there’s a chance that when that piece is removed it will heal that break.

I think what you may have meant when you were describing having more energy was 'Novelty' and you guys still being very new to anime. When you're not used to anime there is tons of tropes that you arent gonna be aware of that will be surprising and bring "energy" from it being unexpected. Now that you're seasoned veterans you guys arent as phased by the crazy outlandish stuff that happens in the shows

Ryan

I’m sorry, but you guys need to stop letting your thinking distract you from what’s been said in the anime. Taiju was told that senku invited him to attack his neck is not that he predicted he would be attack there sometime in the future

Monkeys probably gather around making fun of people for real lol.

the piece of stone on senku was a piece that never broke of just like yuzurihas toe, i believe this was properly explained, lock in ppl :)

The petrification left on the back of his neck was just pure coincidental (similar to yuzuriha's on her foot previously), Senku knew he had that on him cuz you can clearly tell he was bothered by it by cracking his neck a lot of times. I think the reason why he left it in that condition was because he didn't want to waste any revival fluids just for that, especially when they're in need of people to de-petrify. I'm guessing they had to fix Yuzuriha's because a big part of her foot was petrified and it would hinder her especially when they need to walk and run a lot. In short, Senku probably just didn't want to waste resources on a neck problem. He only took advantage of that condition he had and purposely invited Tsukasa to strike him there.

Like the kids from Game of Thrones or Harry Potter, we all grew up alongside watching them. The old days of sushi squad feel so nostalgic now like all the old anime lmao

Loved your reaction as always.

I don't think they ever exlpained it more than they already did, but basically sometimes there's an imperfect depetrification sometimes where parts are still left petrified. Like Yuzuriha still had some left on her toes earlier. He didn't re-petrify himself. The rest of the explanation you either already saw here or in the episode you'll have already watched that uploads tomorrow.

I think the piece of stone being there was coincidental. But Senku knew that healing it would fix any breaks, so his big brain move was to keep cracking his neck to plant the idea in Tarzan’s mind to strike him there.
