I hear everyone asking! At this moment, we are happy with the current schedule (3 ep a week). Especially since this show is way shorter than Naruto and One Piece.
However, we may consider making them double drops, and reducing to twice a week in the future. Would have to be after Solo Leveling and Sakamoto days, and assuming those arent replaced with other ongoing shows as well, bc we want to balance out our schedule and make sure we are prioritizing quality over quantity.
But we are always listening dont worry! :)

I just think people confuse things because if you bleach black hair, you'd typically get orange. If we wanted to connect the title to his hair color, we could just say he has hair that looks like it was bleached. Ichigo said directly that he was bullied because of his hair color. I remember Kubo saying he originally planned for Ichigo to have black hair, but then changed it to match the title.

The reason he's bullied is because hair colour other than black or dark brown is super uncommon in Japan and so having coloured hair like that is usually associated with dying it and being a delinquent. People pick fights with him for looking different and because they think he's a delinquent. He says in this episode that if he cared about what other people thought he would have died his hair black.

It's symbolic of the cleansing that Shinigami give souls. Also Kubo's a fan of the band Nirvana and their first album is called Bleach. Yeah Ichigo's natural hair color is orange but it doesn't have anything to do why the anime is called Bleach. It has never been confirmed by Kubo. It's just a fan theory

BUT also, because of his hair color that he chose to bleach he was bullied, and it didn't matter to him that he was bullied for the reason that he chose to bleach his hair in the first place.

2025-03-04 01:54:46 +0000 UTCIt's called Bleach because originally Kubo (the author) wanted to call it "Black" because of the uniforms that the shinigami/soul reapers wear (Rukia and Ichigo in soul form) but thought that was too simple so he then went with "White" as a contrast to Black which he also thought was too simple so he ultimately chose Bleach because of it's association with the colour white. There's some other symbolism in there as well about how the shinigami purify souls with their zampaktou (Kubo is big on symbolism) but that's the main reason.

There's symbolism in the black and white (and it's really heavy in the manga art), but the word bleach was just an alternative for white

Kubo said his philosophy with Bleach is "Less is more" meaning poetry in motion and even makes specific poems at the end of every volume/episode, Bleach is not a story that is spoonfed, holding their hand like certain others series do, you have to understand the nuances, characterization, complexities, philosophically deep themes in the way that this series presents itself on their own
