(no spoilers) the horrible dude essentially made a deal w/ the kid. The kid was alive while he convinced him or was already in the spirit world or smt. He could've smacked the kid out, like ya'll mentioned, into the spirit state, and then, made the deal, and the boy knew no better that the longer he was outta his body, he couldn't return. he was j chasing after the hope he could revive his mom

It's probably best to not say much past that so not to spoil anything. 😂

Bleach and many other Anime get a lot of inspiration from Yu Yu Hakusho which aired in 1992. I'm assuming you both haven't watched it since you are crediting Bleach as the OG, but I highly recommend you both check out Yu Yu Hakusho. The creator of Yu Yu also later created Hunter X Hunter. Other Anime inspired by Yu Yu are Inuyasha, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Bleach, Jujutsu Kaisen. Yu Yu Hakusho also got a Netflix Live action series last year

You'll meet a few more soon and then nothing but action after that. Fight animation goes up massively like how it did with Naruto going into Shippuden.

I love the fact that Ron is already enjoying it this much already when we barely scratched the surface. I love rewatching Bleach and hearing the OSTs they give me chills every time they are so damn good it makes no sense, that's one of the many things I love about Bleach
