If you guys didn't notice, Kisuke (the shop owner)'s cane had the same pattern that Rukia has on her gloves when she pulls Ichigo's soul out of his body. It was blue instead of red though. So Kisuke's cane wouldn't have hurt Ichigo's body when he pulled Kon out of it.

I love Kon he's so hilarious. Crazy how the episode was funny with Kon and then it got depressing real quick with Ichigo's mother. For clarification Ron they were saying at the end that Rukia was staying too long in the human world, not her staying too long in human form
