It’s actually really realistic how he swung that guy back-and-forth a lot of people look at that and laugh. They don’t think it’s realistic. To swing a 15-pound object, you might need to swing it at a speed of a few feet per second to achieve a moderate swing. Source: google AI according to that I’d say this guy was less than 10lbs or 10-15lbs. It’s just a funny animation to me and I think a lot of people see it very unrealistically, but imagine a mammal of that size and swinging it back-and-forth or a human that weights 7lbs. I’ll shorten this. Last episode I commented Jin-Woo missed the most important raid he could be on. I said watch as there’s no S rank hunters left and all the overtime he has to pull in. Someone commented comparing hunters to doctors saying just because a doctor calls out. Let the other doctors do their work. Well, the doctors are in this case the hunters if they all die. Jin-woo has almost a civilian duty if he doesn’t want monsters just roaming the streets. He’s putting that overtime. I don’t know any spoilers about this anime. ehhhh solo levelling isnt the best, but I'd put it over jjk. jjk solo and especially conclusion was pretty weak. Solo leveling stays pretty consistent throughout and only gets better after the halfway point. Is it the best story of all time? ofc not lol But def an enjoyable one! And I hope we continue to see webtoons being animated since there are so many good ones out there (Pick Me Up, Surviving as a Barbarian, The Greatest Estate Developer, Omniscient Reader, etc). Hopefully at the same animation quality (unlike ToG...q.q)

Solo is literally rinse and repeat over and over in cool ways, but the story is ok, the concept is cool and the animation is great so I hope you continue to enjoy. SL has caught my attention and kept it faster and longer. Jjk is cool but it’s just another rendition of something else. SL is too but it does it so differently and I haven’t read the manwha but I’ve been spoiled, based on what I’ve seen is too come this story is going to be so much more interesting. Like this show gave me the same feeling as hxh and AOT . I don’t think it’ll surpass those two but I can easily see this surpassing many new shows. Like demon slayer is also risen and repeat but look how loved it is. It has other strengths that SL doesn’t but it’s mainly carried by animation and the emotion of the story. I can tell this is just the tip of the iceberg with this show similar to what I felt during AOT. I do think he wins more than truly lose but I think that’s the whole point and it’ll make more sense in this one with makes me his different than other anime.

Don’t get me wrong the show is super entertaining but its getting a bit too redundant for me. Bad guy shows up and is strong then Jinwoo packs them up, rinse and repeat. Its really entertaining but the lack of any plot at all and the fact that the king ant is something weve seen before brings it down a notch for me.

A nice detail is that until the queen died, the black ant was killing efficiently. It was just its job. Against the squad that slayed the queen and after seeing the body, it was personal, and it was angry. Efficiency and duty went out the window., it was about revenge and punishment, hence the more brutal attacks less centred on killing blows.

RIP Byunggu and the other Japanese hunters~ If you rewatch again, the king ant did not slice the Korean hunters in half but cut and beat them up real bad leaving them with fatal wounds. Only Byunggu got stabbed in the heart or abdomen and got his head eaten. Byunggu also healed their fatal wounds right at the last second. And after the King ant consumed Byunggu, it gained speech. Next week is going to be even more crazy! XD

A show can just be a edgy power fantasy and still be an enjoyable masterpiece. Michelle, Baek (the S-Rank who can transform into a beast) didn't ask the healer to come with them. The healer had said from the beginning that he didn't want to go. He only came in the end because he was worried. And that's exactly why it's so damn sad. And I'm actually surprised how much his death hurts me 😥 He was so sweet and kind. He had given up being a Hunter because he couldn't stand the fighting and all the blood anymore, but in the end he decided to come and fight because he was worried about his friends. And then he's the only one who dies in the end. That's so fucking sad! No joke, all the credit in this fight goes to him, because without him, all the other S-Ranks would surely have been killed.

Episodes earlier (in the orc dungeon) you could see how strong the A-rank healer was - she recreated a whole arm in 2-3 seconds. So the healer here was S-rank. They got shit on by the Ant King, but before Byung-Gu died, he almost instantly healed the most critical injuries. Then the Ant King went to Baek Yoonho again, he choked him a bit, and left all of them in pursuit of the 'stronger one'.

From my perspective and what I got from the Black Ant not killing the Korean hunters and not the Japanese hunters is because we already saw in the last episode the Japanese hunters win against them during the sparring, and the ant defeated them so he started taking them as a joke. They also killed his queen, so he most likely thought they deserved to suffer more than the Japanese. He then decided to only kill the healer because he was annoying and providing too much help, and before he killed the Yoonho he sensed a stronger presence and left, because in his mind he likely thinks if he defeats the strongest than everything else is meaningless to fight.
