On the iceberg ship Lelouch revealed his identity because she was his and Nunnally's nanny since they were exiled. She is one of the handful of people that understands Lelouch's motivations and disdain for Brittania. C2 mentioned when Nunnally was taken that the nanny couldn't be blame because she didn't realize the importance of Nunnally to Zero that's why she was left unprotected at the school and V2 was just able to take her.

And yes, I would say the most important themes in Code Geass are psychology and morality steering people's actions, and the idea of lying/tricking. Lelouch advances towards his goals by pretty much lying to everyone and about everything, from his identity to his mircales and tricking people
