2025-04-05 22:16:36 +0000 UTCThe thing with Robin…a lot of ppl are using the Animation as an excuse in the comments & that kinda does play a part for sure but it’s mostly cuz Robin is just not as strong as ppl thought she was when she was first introduced Her Devil Fruit requires a lot & she simply doesn’t have the stamina to use it in a way where it’s unlimited At this point you can see that Luffy, Zoro & Sanji are all definitely stronger than her by a long shot. You can also make a shout for Franky & Brook but that’s very debatable tbh (I personally think Franky is stronger too)

2025-04-04 15:14:04 +0000 UTCAbout Robin being slow, a lot of people have been defending her saying she's exhausted and Devil Fruit powers have limits etc. While all of this is true, I think there's a lot of "Anime Time" involved. Anime Time is essentially anything that feels slower then it should be. For instance, during the whole animation of Robin picking up the salt, literally no other character is moving for a whole 4 second before Hogback even says anything about stopping her. When in reality the time spent between Chopper telling her what to do, her replying and doing it, Hogback ordering to stop her, Cindry to react and the Zombies to stop her is most likely really short. I wanted to point out that One Piece does this a lot and sometimes it causes this dissonance between the viewers perception of time and the actual timeline of events. One of the reason why One Piece pacing is criticized a lot imo.

Robin isn't slow, she's just incredibly exhausted and can't use her powers as effectively as she did before. Don't forget that devil fruit users also have their limits with stamina. And I think you should stop thinking that everything happens one after the other. So many things happen in an arc because all the Straw Hats always have different tasks. Like with the incident with Robin and Chopper. The two of them weren't too slow in defeating Hogback. The moment when the two of them wanted to finish him off and the moment when Oars attacked Luffy, destroying the tower and interrupting Chopper and Robin, happened at the same time. Because of the pacing, it often seems like many things are happening one after the other, even though they're actually happening at the same time.

We had no idea what episodes and what order to watch when most of us first watched OP. It’s Rice and Ginger’s channel. Yes as viewers we guide but it’s getting pretty toxic. They can watch however they want and whatever fits with their schedule. They also have other channels they work on so I can’t imagine how little own time they have. Just let them do whatever they want Please don’t develop toxic community

Oda values story above it, Luffy should realistically strong enough not to lose his shadow but he did. So he would do stuff like Robin being slow, so be used to it lmao. Sometimes Oda will adhere to power scaling, sometimes he doesnt for story. Also Robin's power is gonna be very nerfed compared to Alabasta since I dont think she was initially planned as a Straw Hat. Then Oda decided to cook with her backstory lmao.
