This show is not simple by any means. AOT is a far simpler plot and story. Y’all gotta stop acting like AOT has the most complex plot and characters ever. It’s an elite story but so is bleach. Ichigos himself might not be as complex or as well written as Eren but everyone else in bleach is every bit as complex and well written as everyone in AOT.

To be fair, the author Tite Kubo confirmed that other races besides Soul Reapers can also use Zanpakuto. "Q675 If Chad, Orihime and Uryu were to be given an Asauchi (Zanpaktou without spirit) and they trained properly with it, could they also obtain Shinigami powers in the form of a zanpakutō in addition to their own unique powers? A675 I think they can." It means Quincy, Fullbringers (official name of humans with powers such as Chad and Orihime) and other races can use Zanpakuto. To be honest, it makes sense because Asauchi (empty Zanpakuto) is just a Spirit Tool, on which spirits project their inner powers, by simply injecting their own spiritual energy into it over time. P.S. I will write more deeply about it later as the Soul Society arc progresses further.

As far as we know, only Soul Reapers have a Zanpaku-to. And Urahara's sword is a Zanpaku-to, as we saw in this episode, because it has a name and a soul. What Urahara said, which you see as "proof" that Urahara isn't a Soul Reaper, Ron, is what Ichigo thought. Urahara simply repeated what he thinks Ichigo thought after Urahara pulled out his sword. He knew Ichigo thought he didn't have a Zanpaku-to and so he proved he has by calling out his sword's name. "Wake up, Benihime!" And about the thing with the person in the sword: I won't go into detail because of spoilers, but you could say this "person" is simply the manifestation of the sword's soul. You could say the sword invented a body for their soul so they could better communicate with their Soul Reaper.

When Tatsuki was saying that Orihime is going to visit her relatives next week and Ichigo is going to a trip next week, she misunderstood it as both Ichigo and Orhime being in love and started dating. Tatsuki loves Ichigo too, therefore when she was saying about "doing your best" and "Once you've decided, go forward and do it", she was implying that she never could confess her feelings to Ichigo, but is ready to let go her crush on Ichigo, if it means both him and Orihime can be happy together. Basically, just rewatch this converstion between Tatsuki and Orihime again, thinking Tatsumi assumes Ichigo and Orihime are secretly in love and started dating and are going on a secret trip together.

A few clarification. Orihime is 100% a human. The reason why Ichigo talks to Tatsuki specifically is because she is his childhood friend and it is hinted that she as been with Ichigo's family on multiple occasion to special events such as festivals. Orihime on the other hand as relatively a new friend to Ichigo. She pretty much moved from a classmate to a friend since the beginning of the series. In the episode, it was hinted that they said that they were "going on a trip" to cover for their absence while they are gone to Soul Society. We don't have all the details but the point was to let us know that everyone going gave an excuse to their relatives to explain their absence. Which is why the dad "knows" that Ichigo is going away. He doesn't know that it's to Soul Society. As for Urahara (Hat guy), there's no confirmation of him being a Soul Reaper or not. The only information you truly get is that Ichigo was naive to believe that the sword he was using wasn't a Zanpakuto or that it couldn't hurt him. What if beings other then Soul Reapers can use a Zanpakuto? What if something other then a Zanpakuto can hurt a Soul Reaper? Like Chad's or Orihime's power? Just thinking he is invincible was a mistake. To prove his point, Urahara revealed that he was using a Zanpakuto and also used the opportunity to teach Ichigo about Zanpakuto's.

If you look at the subtitles again, it is written with quotes " " meaning he is reciting what he perceives to be Ichigo's thoughts. He is not stating whether he is or not a soul reaper. What we do know is soul reapers have Zanpakutos. We however dont know if only soul reapers can have Zanpakutos. We also see Uruhara cannot go into the portal which yields even more questions.

Sry but, Their are noble houses in the show like, great noble houses of the soul society, I think there are four noble houses, Kuchiki Clan (Rukia Kuchiki family, Rukia is a noblewoman) is one of them and also there are many lower noble houses. How ever they are not an integral part of the show in any way!

i would not surprise if the Big is your top 3. But for me, my top 10 anime is like a top 3. They change every couple months sometimess. Only 2 anime that is p set is One Piece at #2, Hunter x Hunter at #1. Some honorable mention for top 3 would be Death Note, Blue Lock, AoT, Eminence in Shadow, Spy x Family, Haikyuu, OG Naruto, and so on. Rn Blue Lock would be my #3. Tho watching some of your OG Naruto reactions put it right now top 5. I forgot how much I love the Chunin Exams Some other anime I really like tho I would not put on the same tier: Re:Zero, JJK, Demon Slayer, Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, My Hero Academia, and Black Clover, Frieren, Overlord. So basically SS Tier with Blue Lock being like S+, S, and S-. I love other animes, but those are my gold standard. IF they hit even S-, that is a beyond peak anime. C being watchable, B being good, A being PEAK, S- and above is shows I am drooling for it to come back for new seasons.

Also, one thing to note, people in this anime do lie, and sometimes they'll say things they believe are true but aren't. It's not like a lot of other shows, sometimes what seems like normal exposition is just not true at all. You'll be getting your first taste of that soon and I'll bring it up again then.

to be clear the subtitles in the fight between ichigo and Urahara have quotes, because Urahara is meant to be quoting Ichigo repeating Ichigo's thought, taunting him a little. So i wouldn't take that as a confirmation or denial from him

Ive always wanted to have metal unsharpened replica swords from an anime, and Bleach's zanpakuto are near the top of my list :p Will let you know if I find any good place to buy one from :p minikatana is a good website to get one piece and demon slayer swords, wakizashis (like a dagger sized katana), and mini katanas (mini ones are like letter opener sizes), but I believe they are sharpened so I havent sprung for them yet :p P.S. The dad could've known Ichigo was going on a trip, coz Tatsuki and Orihime knew. They were discussing it at the river bank. The amulet is the mystery though. Ichigo's mom could have given the amulet to the dad to help protect him, so the dad may not actually know what's up with it but has a feeling it actually helps and so gave it to Ichigo :p And the discussion at the end, Urahara never said he's not a soul reaper. Look carefully at the subs, those few lines have double quotes around them, and the lines before and after don't have double quotes. Urahara is re-quoting Ichigo's thoughts out loud, showing Ichigo that he knows exactly what he is thinking and that Ichigo is naive for thinking that. Urahara never explicitly said he was a soul reaper either though. His argument may have been more about Ichigo's naivety thinking that sword wasn't a zanpakuto, than about Urahara being a soul reaper or not.
