2025-04-12 14:30:40 +0000 UTCI mean, at this point we're 10 episodes past the point that an arrancar was first shown, and we've had plain hints at other stuff that happens in that arc. We've also heard of some sort of SS v Quincy conflict. I feel like the only thing not mentioned is the happenings around the Lost Agent arc, although he did ok connecting that to a preexisting character in the world building. Honestly it seems pretty well mapped out up until the beginning of the lost agent arc. From there I feel like Kubo had to create something to bridge between that and the TYBW, with the TYBW being only a vague idea when he started all this, summed up by a single sentence like "there was a conflict between quincies and SS".

I think it distracts you too much from the actual things and details that are actually happening and being said. I mean, I've actually never seen anyone speculate and theorize so much about Ichigo's hair color before 😂 And I also have the feeling that you think you have to theorize so much because Bleach is one of the Big 3 and Naruto and One Piece are also very complex. But please relax and just go with the flow. You'll get the answers to all your questions, it will just take a while. I'm afraid you'll get lost in all your theories and thoughts that you end up missing and overlooking what's actually going on.

The anime didn't follow the original source material so a lot of content was either changed or removed. Which created quite a lot differences and inconsistencies down the line, with viewers having wrong interpretations and understanding of the characters. Filler arc that goes after episode 61 (Bount Arc) is also not canon. Other filler arcs were authorised by author of Bleach and had some input from him, but he told to treat those stories as happening in a parallel universe. All episodes after that were canon, authorised by author and followed the source material. P.S. Episodes 1 -61 are chapters 1 - 182 in the manga.

2025-04-12 07:09:39 +0000 UTCits certainly a different time in anime, back then it was more long form, once a week as the source material is coming out, until the studio says stop as opposed to the more modern direction of plan out a 12 episode arc and condense the important stuff. the issue is watching these older shows with the eyes of a modern anime watcher seems to cause lots of theorizing that's just serving to confuse them more.

Which feels kinda different from modern anime where everything is set up first few episodes with some sort of plan. Bleach, Naruto, One Piece felt they were throwing stuff to see what sticks and keeping the cool stuff. So its kinda funny seeing them theorize on stuff that I think author didnt have a plan for. Cause I doubt any of the Big 3 had their whole story fleshed out by this point.

I learned in my japanese lessons you can't speak japanese like you're speaking english and vice versa. I can't tell you how many times my friends in high school mispronounce Gaara's name as "Gerra" or Madara's name as "Muh-dare-uh" it drove me crazy lol

It's easier to memorize names in dub when they're speaking english, but in sub the japanese names are lost in the rest of the sentence because everything is in japanese so you might miss when a character speaks a name or miss how those names are pronounced and anunciated.

The other 2 kanji used to spell "ichigo" is not used when referring to the main character of Bleach: 莓 strawberry, and 一五 15 While these are not his name's meaning, these are associated with him. Strawberry being titled in manga chapters, and 15 being his age and birthday (July 15, same as mine :D) I also wanna mention a commonly misuse of the word "ichigo" from non-japanese speakers. I'm glad you separated ichi and go to emphasize one and five, because a lot of people say ichigo means 15 when in reality it's more like saying one five. The correct term to say the number 15 is "juugo". Ichigo says this himself in ep 1 when he tells us his age he says "Juugo sai".
