I mean, if you are in the afterlife, I would think I don't need money in there, it's just that it is represented like an ordinary village etc because it is what humans are used to... I think you are thinking too literally,... and personally, I think if we see everything from a literal point of view, we'll find things that don't make sens in real life, but, it is not real life, so, I see more open minded, like, a hole world, it's the afterlife, they're just souls, they take form but they're not real bodies, I mean human bodies, of course when they're hurt they bleed etc, because it "must" be represented as it, or, we wouldn't be really empathetic with them, if we don't see them as humans, and just like "oh, it's just a soul, no body, so, no hurting" you see what I mean? Also, I think this place where they're at, it is just a part of this world, just like one city, there are maybe many, and I think the little boy and his mother just need to find each other, maybe she went to another place/village, it's not like there is an automated system that prevent the mother, like "attention, your boy is entering the afterlife " you see what I mean? For the "why there's a wall to keep them out of soul society, I think it's just like, not letting civilians enter to a military base... they're there to fulfill their job, and the non soul reaper souls, are just living their "afterlife life" 😂 AND everything I say it's just to explain my point of view, like, I'm having a conversation with you 🙂 never criticism, or complaining, I'm here because I love your reactions so that's it ❤️

Spoiler (sort of though I don't remember if it's ever covered in the show) below: Rukia and her sister are an example of this. They died as children, went to soul society, and unlike others who only needed water, they started to get hungry. Which was a sign of their spiritual power.

Do theorise your thoughts for powers because, other than dialogues, group dynamics, poems in the manga, their powers are a means of understanding the kind of person they are (Orihime's shield, innocent and protective, Chad's arm, and so on).

2025-04-15 04:58:09 +0000 UTCSo to clarify, Rukia never told Shibata he could reunite with his mom, that was Ichigo. Rukia just said he wouldn't have to live in fear and he wouldn't go hungry. Also, this is the "afterlife" guys...there is nowhere else to go after this. Ron is saying they are trapped there...they died..they are in the afterlife..I mean they are just as "trapped" there as humans are in the mortal word lol. I think the fact that there is a cast system is throwing you guys off a bit. The soul society never proclaimed to be a paradise, it's just the place where souls go when they die, that arent turned into hollows, or purified after becoming hollows. The reason why what the Quincy do is bad is because they completely destroy the soul when the kill them, soul reapers purify the souls and send them to the soul society, being killed by a soul reaper sends you to the soul society, being killed by a quincy sends you into nothingness.

It was Ichigo who told the boy he could reunite with his mother in the Soul Society, not Rukia. What Rukia said was that the Soul Society is a place where he wouldn’t have to fear anything—he wouldn’t go hungry, and it would be better than aimlessly wandering the human world. In the manga, the scenes were more graphic, with significantly more blood and more serious injuries compared to the anime adaptation.

The rukon district where people arrive is basically everything beyond that circle. It's a big place, and the soul reapers job is balancing the flow of souls, not managing people's afterlives before they reincarnate . So basically a kid arriving there in a random section of the rukon district would have to travel a place with more land area than is on earth trying to find their parent with no communication network in place to aid their search. The afterlife in SS is basically waiting around until you get reincarnated. It's not heaven. That's the purpose of the soul society, as indicated by one of Rukia's drawings in an early episode

I don’t recall if it’s specified though, but I can see you essentially having two lives, one on Earth and another in the Soul Society. The third death you come back to Earth but in a new body essentially as a completely new person. Just a theory though.
