By no means Should Ichigo be able to do what he did to Zenpachi.. His power level is way higher than Ichigo at this point. But we move on and forget about it. It's a huge plot armor issue. But it is what it is, and fortunately doesn't really repeat itself.

In fact, Rukia’s silhouette appeared in the earlier episode when Ganju first mentioned that a Soul Reaper killed his brother, but since you didn’t recognize the silhouette, it’s understandable. Anyway, it’s now been revealed that Rukia was the one who killed Ganju’s brother, Shiba Kaien.

This anime is so underrated despite it being one of the big three; it always got buried next to Naruto despite it having a better storyline. Honestly, I was obsessed with Naruto when I was 10 years old but it wasn't until I got older that I realized that the whole plot was lost on Sasuke and it was just dragged on way too much until the end. Utterly pointless. My man Naruto deserved better honestly (and don't even get me started on Rock Lee becoming a side character in the final war, ffffuuuu). Anyway, whereas in Bleach we have adequate pacing (chef's kiss), nothing is dragged on at all (though we DO have one filler arc that is like a gazillion episodes but you can just skip that, lol), the main character Ichigo is such a laid back MC that it makes you appreciate his tenacity, the power ups make sense, the animation is scrumptious and only gets better as the episodes move along, etc. Sure, Ichigo isn't always happy and composed, there will be times where he'll break down but it ain't nothing like Naruto's breakdowns where everyone is sad ALL the time... Anyway, One Piece is my ultimate, but Bleach is DEFINITELY up there too.

Glad you remembered that small detail. Also, in regards to the white haired shinigami, remember that when all the captains had a meeting with the head honcho, only one captain was missing bc he was "sick". Those are the kind of details that help move you along in the story. 🫣
