2025-06-20 15:48:46 +0000 UTCI actually never thought of it like that, but that def makes sense. I always put JoJo's in with the classics like cowboy bebop, or samurai champloo. But it also really did hold up like Dragonball in a lot of ways!

So if One Piece, Bleach and Naruto are the big three, JoJo and Dragonball are like the grandparents of shonen series. JoJo started 10 years before One Piece for example

As someone who's been a JoJo fan since he first touched the HttF arcade cabinet as a kid in the late 90's and grew up with a dad who knew and listened to a lot of the artists JoJo is referencing I have to say that knowing or being a fan of the referenced artists makes the show/manga even better. And in this case even the names used to get around copyright are hilarious.

2025-06-20 00:00:37 +0000 UTCI've watched countless shows and anime in my life, and honestly, very few have made me feel as tense and pressured by every single enemy as this one does. I constantly feel worried and grossed out at the same time. So when Joseph still manages to act like an idiot in these situations, I end up both loving and hating him. Also, those bizarre poses somehow make me want to imitate them without even realizing it. I'm almost starting to like this show. Yeah, I leave comments on every episode and plan to keep watching it with you all, but I haven't truly fallen in love with the show just yet.
