2025-07-27 11:29:26 +0000 UTCYou guys ask lots of good questions, one thing I'll say is whenever the phrase "captain-level" is used it refers to captains and lieutenants (who are called 'assistant captains' in Japanese - this is how it's translated in the manga). Eg when Byakuya fought Ichigo, just before he turns hollow, the anime subtitles say: "Byakuya: You've defeated many captains to get to this point" but he actually said "you've defeated many captain-level soul reapers", because he beat Renji and dusted 3 lieutenants before fighting Byakuya

2025-07-14 00:26:25 +0000 UTCthe mom must be human sense thats the only thing that would be unique about ichigo birth, plenty of soul society folk get together so thats nothing special, ichigo is clearly more then just some noble, he has almost limitless spiritual pressure as they keep hinting at, and the dad is clearly retired like the guy who runs the shop and the ninja lady/cat, hes settled in the human world and most likely took on a new last name to live privately with his family., he the only one out of the three who started a family in the human world it seems.

(that similar to what is done after the credit in Demon Slayer. xD) Is up to you if you two wanna watch them or no. (Normally that was starting at episode 53)

2025-07-11 12:06:34 +0000 UTC[Tidbits] - Kubo uses a narrative trick here that he often employs, he has Ryuken insult Uryu while also giving us direct information, yet because it was delivered as an insult the audience doesn't really pay mind to the information. So let's put it into perspective, Uryu who nearly killed a Captain did so with inexperienced Quincy powers, just imagine what his actual potential is. - The Isshin reveal is awesome because like most things in Bleach if you go back and pay attention you'll see the signs. - It's important to remember the context around what Isshin and Urahara discussed, they said the Isshin hasn't been a Soul Reaper for 20 years, 1. What does that mean and does any method exist that can make a soul reaper not be one for such an extended period of time? 2. What happened that caused him to not be a Shinigami (food for thought)
