[Tidbits] - The 11th Division are selfish, they prioritize their own ways over logic. Kenpachi did the same thing when he helped Ichigo's team, it wasn't smart but that doesn't matter to them, they do what is best for their life and enjoyment. - Another interesting thing about Squad 11 is that the seem to keep secrets, Ikkaku was hiding his Bankai and Yumichika also did something back in the Soul Society that he was hiding and that we still don't know. - Ikkaku being Renji's Tutor makes sense, when you think about it he and Renji are the only lieutenants we've seen to have Bankai - We see now that Ikkaku could have destroyed Ichigo, this is a good way to do power scaling. This doesn't take away from Ichigo's achievement, just shows that a lot of other circumstances came into play for his Victory. Just like if Kenpachi took him seriously from the jump, Ichigo would have lost, same with Byakuya (who was still standing after that fight). This tells us that Ichigo isn't quite on their level. He has the spiritual energy of a Captain, but he's mostly won thanks to luck. - Toshiro is a prodigy, but many tend to forget that he's also very young, he's likely the least skilled of all captains (despite likely having super high potential). - If you recall we learned earlier that Captain Class Shinigami have their powers nerfed when coming to the world of the living, they need to prepare the area before unleashing their full power otherwise living souls may be hurt or tampered with. (We learned this from Renji) - Few never think to ask, but the kids who live with Urahara, who & exactly what are they. We know Urahara was or is a Soul Reaper, but we don't quite know much about the kids or why they are working with the shop.

All I will say is that it wouldn't make sense for Renji, Rangiku and especially Hitsugaya (who's a Captain) to be portrayed to look this weak...when Rukia and Ikkaku both defeated their opponents. Rukia did it very easily aswell. Michelle cooked with that outro for remembering the cap thats placed on Lieutenants and Captains when they are in the Human world. I'm from Spain and I gotta say, kudos to Tite Kubo. Selecting the right words in Spanish for the attacks and zanpakuto releases could have been a total disaster. Instead, I'm amazed how carefully selected they were. For example: "Arrancar" is a verb that means "to tear off". He's obviously referring to the Hollows that tear off their masks to get Shinigami powers but here are some thoughts: - He uses a verb to refer to a group of people. - That makes no sense grammatically speaking but doing so he emphasizes the importance of the action per se (to tear off) vs what they actually tear off (the masks). - At the same time... it sounds fucking amazing in Spanish and even sounds menacing. - And finally, when you use "arrancar" in Spanish it also implies a bit of violence/aggressiveness, which also means that these guys are dangerous. And this is only 1 word...

Loved Ikkaku's backstory especially at the start of the episode with 'Soundscape to Ardor' one of the best osts. Kenpachi's squad definitely has the best synergy among the 13 squads imo. Most of the people follow Kenpachi's ideology and you can tell that they all vibe with each other.

Everyone else spilled the beans but yea, Renji mentioned to Ichigo during their fight in Soul Society that he was stronger then when he was in the human world since all Lieutenants and Captains have limiters. For Ron, it is a bottleneck. I don't believe that they can remove the limiter without approvals. The reason why I think that's the case is because of the tattoo. It only appears after approvals. Also I believe that it's setup that way because if you can just remove it on demand it could be abused.

Gentei Kaijo is indeed a limiter on all Lieutenants and Captains' spiritual pressure while they're out in the world of the living on missions because too much spiritual pressure would negatively impact the living so the limiter was placed as a safeguard. Once removed, they're able to access or tap into more of their original spiritual pressure. Don't worry, the next episode goes into more detail on the mechanics but the premise/purpose was mentioned already on an earlier episode (Renji vs Ichigo).

Renji is a lieutenant who can use Bankai btw. He was during that conversation too, so I think he was saying "other than me there is no lieutenant who can do Bankai. You're the only other person who can, please become a captain" (coz Ikkaku isn't a lieutenant :p) Those three filler characters are mod souls by the way.
