The entire Hunter Exam arc lasted about a month while the chimera ant arc so far has lasted at least 3 months. To this point Gon and Killua have been together for about a year, and since they are so young you would think that length of time would change their appearance (even thought Tanjiro trains with Urokodaki for 2.5 years and goes from 13 to almost 16 while hardly changing, aside from his hair), it gives the illusion that not much time has passed despite quite a bit of time actually passing.

That as well as the fact that Kite would have been captured months ago in terms of the timeline of events.

2024-02-21 01:49:59 +0000 UTCAt the end you guys noted that "Gon is not the Gon that we know" but, while its true that the way he is presenting doesn't feel like his normal self, this is the Gon that has been built up throughout the entire show. He didn't become someone new when he lost Kite he has just never been pushed to this point before and his selfish/hypocritical way of thinking is coming back to bite him. Love the reactions by the way, you guys have had a much better understanding of what is going on than I would have expected from a first time viewer. This arc is DENSE and it can take some people multiple viewings to get a lot of what's going on. Cant wait to see your reaction to the rest of the arc!
