Aang was just rushing things which you can understand if you were also a young boy crushing on a girl, esp if you’ve already kissed(in the dark cave) Katara because of the war wasn’t emotionally available and plus she knew Aang had a job to do. She knew that their relationship would cause him to stray from doing his job as the avatar so she didn’t allow Aang to entertain the progression of their feelings. It wasn’t until the war ended that she knew the conditions were clear that they could be comfortable to progress their relationship further.

I don't know if someone already said it but I think the part about Zuko's mom has to be covered in a few more episodes but they stopped because they made a live action version which everyone knew it didn't go well. I think the Netflix series will cover that part, hopefully.

You said "it doesn't make sense" while in actuality your take doesn't make any sense. You shipped Zutara because they look good together and Zuko is older than Aang which is crazy superficial. Just imagine yourself in that situation. Some crazy rando is chasing you across the world on your travels, constantly trying to kill you or capture a friend of yours for almost a year, having awful things happen to you because of the choices made by that person and only at the very end you become friends with them. You're not gonna fall in love immediately when all this time you were somewhat "involved" with an actual friend you've spent that entire year with and who has basically become family in such a short time period. To be fair tho I have not yet finished your afterthoughts so I don't know what's yet to come. Other than that, great reaction and awesome job Michelle of keeping a pokerface and trying hard not to spoil a thing!

2024-04-30 01:02:04 +0000 UTCNah ATLA still a better show. And it’s not just me saying it. People who never watched ATLA before and then watch Korra say the same thing. It’s a excellent show. But it’s not on ATLA’s level that’s just faxx, not only Korra, Asami is just there most of the time she didn’t have much personality until later on, Bolin was their next attempt at Sokka and while I like him, he’s not as funny or as good of a character as Sokka. Mako is boring asf and he’s mostly just an attractive guy, Tenzin is cool asf but the Gaang was definitely better. Like I said the only thing Korra does better is action. But the action is ATLA was more emotional and better in terms of context. Also I was referring to them in Season 1 obviously I know Korra is 21 in the last season. And even then she still more childish than aang mind you.

The villains are better, the comedy is better, the sad moments are better, the action I’ll give to Korra but that’s mostly cuz of the animation, the MC himself Aang is miles better than Korra. Nah nostalgia is not getting to me my boi, if it was I would definitely admit when I’m wrong. But I ain’t in this case 🤷🏽♂️

I've found myself rewatching TLOK more than ATLA, but that's just cuz I don't wanna ruin ATLA for me.

There was a developing relationship between Aang and Katara from the very start as well as Zuko's relationship with Mai, their feelings go back to when they were both younger. As to Zuko and Katara is sweet realistically Katara hated Zuko for probably about 80% of the show and associated him with her mother's death they barely had time to be friends nonetheless have a romantic bond, they only truly become on good terms in the southern raiders which is what... episode 16 of season three? But again, that's just my thoughts I'm really surprised that you guys are surprised by the end ships! But it was a lovely watch with you two as always!

I also feel the same way when it comes to Katara and Aang, they just don't click the same for me the way Zuko and Katara do. :') But i def suggest you guys watch Korra. If you decide to, just be prepared because it is NOTHING like this series at all. It is very different but it isn't too bad. The only thing you guys should know is that Korra was rushed so there are some episodes that don't really fit well with the story. Season 3 is personally my favorite BUT other than that, you get to go a little more in depth with the spiritual side and airbending side of WHAT the Avatar is which is something we didn't get in this series. WATCH IT

They have stories on Zuko's mom, what happened later to the colony the fire nation once established. It was pretty fun getting into it, you know, the real world problems are complex.

They announced an animated series of the Gaang around their twenties. They announced an animated Zuko movie, where they are going to show him as Firelord. They announced a prequel animated movie, there is a lot of speculation around what it’s going to be about. Some say it’ll be about Roku, others say it’ll be about Kyoshi, but it’s still TBA. You should definitely watch The Legend of Korra next. It’s canon and a very good show. She is the next Avatar after Aang, so she was born after he died, she can’t be his daughter. Plus, they also announced another animated series about the next Avatar after Korra, an earthbender. There is a lot to be released in the coming years! There is a lot to look forward to. Oh, and about Zuko’s mother, the cliffhanger you talked about, there are comics that dive into this storyline. They are canon and one of them is about Zuko going after his mother.

Did you forget about their kiss in that dark cave? There were so many scenes that made it obvious Katara likes him too. She just rejected him once when she said she can't think about love right now because of the war. For me that literally just meant that tho. So it didn't surprise me at all that after the war ended, her feelings "came back". Or more like; there was room for them. But interesting that it is different for both of you. That final kiss was extremely satisfying to me, because many shows don't show love interests kissing like that in the end; especially in Anime and Cartoons. They would have ended it with the hug.

Also zukos mom stuff gets explained in the comics that continue the story after this season. One more thing Korra gets a lot of hate and there’s this common misconception that fans have saying things like they only thought they’d have one season and so forth, but that’s just not the case. Korra is actually a good show just not better than ATLA. There’s a specific season though that is actually on par and sometimes just a bit better than ATLA but only that one season of Korra is sadly. They are relatively short: spice and wolf (25 eps), Your Lie in April (22 eps), golden time (24 eps). For something else good but different from other stuff you've seen: odd taxi (13), Death Parade (12), Mushi-Shi (36 +1 movie). Anyway, love the content and looking forward to what's next!

ATLA is an overall better show, imo, but LOK is still a good show and worth a watch. You might actually like LOK more because it is more mature

Also i generalky dislike when fantasies explain away the mysteries, so often it falls flat, and the spirit world and origins storylines wrecked it for me. They made some things feel mundane. Animation was fine, fights were well done, characters were mostly enjoyable, for me it was just the writing.

To me it had potential but ended up not for me and a little disappointing. Last thing I think they did so well with the One Peice live action now they’re just trying to push shows out with avatar etc. Master Oda will never let One Peice be ruined or he’d cancel it with out a fuck. I think his influence was crazy to how the live action worked out.
