2018-04-05 03:19:30 +0000 UTCin netflix the subs are not attached to the video, they're using an external script that attaches to the video (thats used for editing the subs easier, so if they have a mistake they wouldn't have to edit the video, kinda like youtube subs), maybe thats the reason it does that.
