2024-05-05 08:25:37 +0000 UTCAlso, from what I read. The animators on this were originally people who made H. They did Food Wars to prove that they can do anime animation, too.

2024-05-05 03:39:58 +0000 UTCRon trying to big brain but the director's Last name literally is Nakiri and 'God tongue' Erina is also a Nakiri.🤦🏻♀️

2024-05-04 08:23:21 +0000 UTCKeep watching! Soma and anyone else that cooks in the show do describe their cooking styles and methods. Some more detailed than others at times, but dude the dishes get even more creative and the plot thickens like crazy too!! And as I mentioned before, the fan service does get a tad less cringy as the show progresses.

2024-05-02 20:01:44 +0000 UTCMegumi is such a dope character glad she came around when it came to Soma and now she's more comfortable. Can't wait for you guys to meet the rest of the characters they're cool af. What also is cool about this show is different fun facts you didn't know beforehand when it comes to cooking and you can use those tips for example cutting the salt.

2024-05-02 19:59:48 +0000 UTCSmallest brain🤣 no shade, but they’ve alr said that the director is grandfather of the god tongue girl. Ik its hard to pick stuff like that up in sub for the first time tho.

2024-05-02 19:34:53 +0000 UTCIf the food is too salty while cooking you can soak it in water to remove the saltiness

2024-05-02 17:50:05 +0000 UTCIf you liked death note you would also like Monster. Its a nice dark anime. If you want to watch a comedy anime I recommend either prison school or grand blue dreaming. If you want all of the above watch JoJo's bizarre adventure.

2024-05-02 10:18:10 +0000 UTCNakiri Senzaimon's family is guassable from his Nakiri name xD and about the recipes in the show, Chef PK is the best channel to go to. he's recreated most of the good recipes in food wars. He also did a full reaction of the show and talks about the food science of each recipe as it comes up, it's a very informative watch :)

2024-05-02 05:23:43 +0000 UTCIf you're interested in actual recipes, there is a youtuber Chef PK who has recreated a ton of them on his channel after watching the anime. I would 100% recommend but you might want to wait incase he has some spoiler clips from the show added in.

2024-05-02 04:17:07 +0000 UTCI believe they started that portion of the dish over because the first one was ruined from all the salt. The honey sped up the cooking/tenderizing of the second time around so that they were able to finish in time

2024-05-02 04:06:16 +0000 UTCThe director (Nakiri Senzaemon) may be the grandfather of someone. Anyways what’s your thoughts on the God Tongue (Nakiri Erina)?

2024-05-02 04:01:48 +0000 UTCregarding michelles question on how you counteract salt - you don't. Salt is a volume knob, it's not a flavor component but rather one of the four pillars (salt, fat, acid, heat) that augment flavor. Acid is the "balance" pillar, so if something is too fatty or too salty, vinegar will tip the scales a bit, but not with the amount of salt that they added to the dish. If something tastes like salt instead of seasoned food, the only thing you can do is add more food and dilute the salt. A good hack for example, if you are ever making a stew/soup and you over salt it, throwing in a potato, carrot, even a block of tofu - anything that will sponge away some of the sauce will be perfect. Then you just need to add more water/stock/etc, and cook for a while. Then throw away the salt sponges that you added, or you can just scale up the other ingredients instead. @michelle - over seasoning spaghet is super common and the best way to fix it is to not do it at all. First things first you want to reduce the acidity of your sauce, because the sharpness of fresh out the can tomato sauce can make it difficult to taste the saltiness. Adding a little vodka (like a half shot for a 12 oz can) or a glug of wine opens up the flavor profile of the tomatoes and makes them taste sweeter. Also adding a whole carrot is something people do to sweeten a sauce. DO YOU WANT MY GAME CHANGER SECRET MOVE THOUGH? get powdered milk. POWDERED. MILK. take a small spoon from your drawer, a "tea" spoon but not a teaspoon, add two lil scoops of powdered milk to your sauce. It's got sugar content so it sweetens it slightly, and milk is a base so it counteracts the acid, and it's dehydrated so it can't curdle by throwing it into a hot sauce. Do that right off the bat, wait until your sauce gets hot, and then taste/adjust salt levels. Not only will you be amazed at how much easier it is to season the sauce, but the sauce will taste so much better, it will be silky and cling to the spaghetti, and it will give you less of a tummy ache if you're sensitive to acidic foods. We did this at the restaurant i worked at, it is so freaking good. pretty please try it and let me know what you think. You can also add a little bit of baking powder instead, but be really sparing with it
Dale Diaz
2024-05-02 03:38:12 +0000 UTCI mean, kind of? It'll help a little with how the salt is perceived, but it'll still be salty. The amount of salt that was added though, all you can do is dilute it with ingredients
Dale Diaz
2024-05-02 03:29:25 +0000 UTC@ron regarding "wheres the creativity?" if you can't replicate a staple dish, you can't turn your imagination into reality. You gotta be able to execute the fundamentals. before you can innovate and all that
Dale Diaz
2024-05-02 03:23:22 +0000 UTCSalt.... on that level(amount)... can't be done. But yea... at lower levels sugar, acid, more water if it some sort of soup or stock... also potatoes if appropriate ( they can also just pull out the salt, but why waste the potatoes)
