@orangeplum, because Naruto's bond with Sasuke was a lot more than a friendship. There are many psychological things around that. So, It's not that simple. It's just the way Naruto thinks and feels. We can or not understand it, but I do think there are people like that in real world. He is so sensible, so considerate to people because he knows about lonely and pain, that he is like negated to think someone close to him can't be rescued. But of course, with time he will learn more and be mature enough to do things a little bit more healthy to himself and at the same time try to focus on his ideals. I think he stands a lot the most current movement that is seen nowadays, of trying to leave hatred and resentment aside in general, because that does more harm to us than to the rest. It's a bit like the idea of ​​certain spiritual beliefs, where one always tries to give love, even when there is hate on the other side. I even think he thinks much deeper than most people. I don't know if it is right or wrong, but what I do believe is that it is respectable and valuable, in a world where nowadays, the majority does not care about the rest at all, and the world is increasingly full of hate. Choji literally just put his feelings aside in the Pain fight because he could recognize that Kakashi's order for him to deliver a message was a better option than him being an extra target that Kakashi would need to defend mid-fight. Horrible example. People die in their world all the time, and despite Kakashi dying and being key in the future, how would have the Pain fight gone down if Katsuya wasn't able to pass that info to Naruto before he got started? She is supposed to be the smartest one in the group and she is endangering the entire village for the sake of her feelings. Naruto does the same thing but he has shown time and time again that he can at least fight on equal ground, while Sakura has shown that she is immensely outclassed. She is a hindrance to Kakashi in a 1v1 and she should know it. Naruto would be equally a dumbass if he acted the same way he does IF he couldn't pull his weight. But he can. Tsunade drilled into her that medical ninja should not fight on the frontline, Tsunade herself is literally the only example of someone who is powerful enough to be an exception at this point. Sakura redeems her usefulness, but it isn't now.

Yapping isn't always a negative connotation, fans of streamers like Northernlion and Fauna praise them for their ability to yap. It's more akin to being able to generate more content out of moments that would otherwise be slower or more mundane (plenty of other examples, those are just the ones I watch that are loved for it). Northernlion being able to turn a single trip to Costco or his morning Peloton ride into 15-30 minutes of engaging content sounds like bullshit until you witness it yourself. Not everyone means it like that, but online it has a bit of a different meaning than in person. I'm personally not a fan of all the times Ron stops the video to gloat about how right his predictions were, mostly because he minimizes when Michelle does the same thing for some reason, but otherwise the "yapping" is just bonus entertainment.

I empathize with Danzo but still dislike him. I don't think people should be angry about how Ron chooses to feel about Danzo. Putting that aside, Ron needs to understand those flashbacks are for people like you who forgot what happened in a show that was 100 episodes ago which is about many months ago to a year or more and they do not have the luxury of watching the show all at once quickly since the series already ended. It also shows their perspective and feelings of an event in the past which is what builds the show. I get that you would think that it is a filler and just wanted to check if it was a filler or you could get bored of so many repetency flashbacks. Anyone who had a problem with your thoughts about Danzo honestly need to grow up. Danzo was an essential character to the story and the real world has people just like him. You can't please everybody. If you try to make everybody happy then you end up making nobody happy. He did what he needed to do to secure Konoha's safety no matter what it took. Someone has to make the hard decisions and it was Danzo. He was an extremist and believed the ends justified the means. It may upset people but the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. You may have missed the whole point of all those flashbacks then 😂 Like Naruto said, its about a connection to someone who has experienced similar trauma. Even though they're not the same, they both feel, they are probably the closest anyone can come to understand them. They also showed that they would inspire each other to do better. Sasuke because he never wanted Naruto to catch up and Naruto because he didn't want to be left behind. Don't forget also that although we are not shown all this, they were actually teammates for about a year. They saw each other grow and the arguing is just how they communicated. Let's also not forget Sasuke stepped in to save Naruto against Haku and Naruto stepped in to save Sasuke from Orochi in the forest... Just a few examples of why their bond exists...

While we can understand Danzo intentions in the end, he was still a coward who used very very evil methods to attain his perceived goals. People forget fast how fucking twisted this guy was, his methods ruined so many lives in the end and ended up costing the village more than actually protecting it. I like him as an antagonist, but I certainly don't like the man for what he is, a dangerous maniplator unable to put his life on the life when it actually counted. Same thing with Orochimaru. He's one cold bastard and it makes sense in term of character design, he;s basically a clod blooded snake like man. But again, he's a morally gray and bankrupt individual. To me he's worse than Danzo and I cannot empathize with him on any level. But man is he a much better antagonist than Danzo! Very entertaining and oh so fun to watch as a character. It's a matter of perspective. If you remove Sasuke and Itachi, Danzó was a military leader who sent a spy to infiltrate and send information about an internal organization. Upon finding that there was a coup being formed, he ordered said spy to eliminate the enemy and potentially stopped a civil war from breaking out. He went about it in a bad way but his intentions were good. Not saying I like the guy but after rewatching Naruto so many times, there is always something or a new perspective that I come to understand more each time.

I think it depends on how you define “side characters”, bc I’d argue that all the examples you gave are still central characters. So by side characters, I mean characters Kishimoto didn’t initially plan on developing or investing in. Jiraiya, Kakashi, Itachi may not be protagonists but they were never side characters as Kishimoto had always planned to make them integral to the storyline. In other words, I think Kishimoto is really good at planning out good stories/characters from ground up, but he’s not so good at throwing in additional characters impromptu later in the story.

U have to understand the importance of how Sakura is written. If Sakura didn’t treat Naruto that way we as an audience don’t feel bad for Naruto. Naruto entire story is about how he was hated and bullied but who in the konoha 13 is on screen and can show that? The only answer is Sakura. Shikamaru and choji were his only friends. Shino and Hinata like everyone. Sauske actually liked Naruto more than everyone else but just in general hated everyone. The only people who really bullied Naruto were Sakura and Ino. Sakura treatment of Naruto was necessary for the story. That character development Sakura goes through from hating Naruto and bullying him to loving him and trusting him is supposed to represent the village as a whole it’s perfect story telling. We grow with Sakura and as we grow with Sakura and watch her slowly learn who Naruto really is as a person and we watch her slowly go from hating him to trusting him the village is in the background going through that same growth. Sakura is the embodiment of the village and our visual representation of the village

Look look look, I am on the Sakura hate train still even rewatching it with you guys and I'll tell you why. 1. The fact that she even remotely thinks Sasuke gives a hoot about her is beyond me and even less in any romantic way. In the flashback (which by the way will keep happening as Naruto is infamous for a lot of flashbacks) that was the only point where it showed Sasuke had a bond with Sakura in the sense that he cared for her bc if you recall, he said he didn't remember the first time they spoke at that spot after becoming a team, yet repeated the same exact words to her saying she is annoying, meaning he remembered and was trying to play himself. And then when he thanked her before knocking her out. However, it still to me only showed that he cared for her as his teammate and potential friend but definitely nothing more. So her still being delusional thinking by pretending saying she would do anything for him and wants to join him like he would just fall for that like GWORL!!! BE REAL!!! 2. And this isn't Sakuras fault as much as it is the writers fault but Sakura is STRONG AF, she is Tsunade's mini me and she forgets that. Like this could've been over, being they Sasuke isn't at his full potential bc of his battle with Danzo. Instead of using her emotions to fuel her like Naruto and Sasuke does, she allows it to be a crutch. So infuriating. Either way, Sasuke and Naruto bromance all day!! Of all the characters up to this point, as much as Sasuke tries to play himself, he cares for or at least appreciates Naruto. (And yes I'm aware he has tried to kill him a couple of times already) but there is a huge difference between when he has tried to "kill" Naruto and the twice just now with Sakura. Just saying

To sakura's defense, she sacrificed herself multiple times during the Sasori fight. I feel like she shine's best when Sasuke is not around. Unfortunately, apart from the Sasori,s fight, we didn't get to see her in action a lot during the series.

Danzo in his mind wasn't doing everything for the village that's why the scene with hiruzen was impactful. Danzo never did anything for the village actually, only made himself stronger. The only time he genuinely thought of the village was when he self destructed but he was already going to die anyway. He was an A-1 narcissist actions speak louder than words and watching your village be destroyed so you can be hokage isn't for the village it's for himself 100%

I blame kishimoto mostly when it comes to sakura because of the inconsistency in her strength. Out of the rookie nine she’s at worst the fourth strongest but anytime in smaller combat it doesn’t seem that way. Like she’s the most useful because she can fight and heal better than anyone but since the sasori fight he literally didn’t show it once to this episode.
