Here we have the cycle of who killed who and we want revenge. Touka wants to kill the ghoul investigators who killed Hinami's mother and father. Ghoul investigators, maybe some or most might be doing this line of work because they are taking revenge for a loved one they lost to a ghoul or a colleague/friend/senior/junior who got killed by a ghoul in the line of duty as a ghoul investigator.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that the manga is one of the best at expressing emotion and amazing art, storytelling and character development that the anime seasons totally dropped the ball on sadly. If you're enjoying the anime I guarantee you would enjoy the manga even more.

Even just looking at Kaneki "adventures", he was attacked 3 times by ghouls. You can think Mado crazy, but in fact he is the "righteous" one here. Even though he likes to talk trash a lot. In fact, that is his way to get the ghouls pissed, and gain an advantage.

2024-06-23 15:05:23 +0000 UTCwatch the anime opening (we've seen it in their reactions too) you'll see he changes. The mc ALWAYS evolves in these type of anime. There's no anime in which the protagonist stays the same he always evolves in some way

2024-06-23 05:37:34 +0000 UTCi thought the ending scene with Kaneki and Amon both having one eye covered was brilliant. its almost intended so we draw parallels between the two characters as they're both trying to find a reason why humans or ghouls have to die. two sides of the same coin.

What he does seems to be the same thing. he doesn't care if a ghoul has never killed someone. (i know she has human friends, she's a big ball of hypocrisy so it's actually easier to understand.) But, if the ones from ghouls or humans wanted to work together, i guess there wouldn't be enough plot material for multiple seasons
