My Hero Academia - S7 Episode 8

Dabi is a murderer that couldn’t unlearn the ways of his childhood self. He’s an adult , that’s entirely his fault. He held a grudge and became a murderer. No excuses, it was messed up , but not justified. He is not right for his actions in no way.

2024-11-04 21:23:16 +0000 UTCI think Toya was weaker in his mind set, he took everything they endured, in a worst way (or different), obviously their childhood was difficult/traumatizing, but from all, he took it the worst, cause in fact he was not physically abused in the beginning, it was until he obsessed himself with having his father attention over all, even when he was hurt with his quirk, that he was mistreated... Endeavor failed on dealing with that, yes, but as other people said, the other siblings went through the "same" and they didn't became murderers or turn on each other... And let's be clear, it's not judgement, like, attacking on Dabi, neither being on his side, it's just observation, I can empathize, but also notice the different behaviors from different characters living in the same environment... cause even if we understand their reasons/ or why they are as they are, that doesn't mean that we agree with their behavior...

2024-11-04 21:21:21 +0000 UTCWe don't even have to compare Shoto and Toyo's lives to come to the conclusion that Toya/Dabi is trying to disperse blame too much. Lots of people grew up in abusive households way worse than what Toya went through and they don't end up being mass murderers. Sure, his upbringing was horrible and his childhood absolutely sucks, and yeah, it makes me sympathize for him, but he's still an evil person who decided to murder people.

2024-08-11 19:58:34 +0000 UTCYeah “same” isn’t as accurate. But shoto definitely went through more hell after Toya “died” from both parents. The neglect Toya felt is very comparable to shoto’s hardships. He could have returned and endured as well. Side note: Toya returned and saw endeavor giving shoto attention but didn’t think about how shoto was being abused😂 odd that Toya was so narrow minded

2024-07-02 17:13:30 +0000 UTCThing we're not the same for shoto as for dabi because the mom and dad were different when he "died".

2024-06-28 07:24:28 +0000 UTCDon’t need help for that , just intentional effort. I surely didn’t have help. No excuses can be made for him really. It’s sad and tragic, but I don’t feel bad for the adult him at all. Toya that almost died in a fire was a child so things are different there

2024-06-27 08:27:17 +0000 UTCThey may have lived in a way the same things (imo dabi's worse) they still have both different brains and will take things differently just like all of us I think dabi is valid in some things just like shoto said but at some point has a part of responsibility like u said in the things he did but the root and cause is still endeavor... my question is how can he realize the extent of his actions and take responsibility when he never had someone to help him or put him in check (in a way even tho different intentions again on shotos end but like deku did to him many times during the sports festival or the licensing exam)

2024-06-27 01:11:55 +0000 UTCShoto was at the house getting abused until he left for UA, But shoto wasn’t evil towards his family like Dabi. It’s really just careless of Dabi to not take accountability for his actions especially as he got older

2024-06-26 17:22:53 +0000 UTCIt’s not a conflicting mindset , Dabi is a murderer that kills people and still has a “ revenge” mindset of when he was a kid. 😂 nothing to really dissect, no siding with a murderer no matter what led them to that point. He should have done some personal development from that space , instead he fed into it even after he was away from his family

2024-06-26 17:20:43 +0000 UTCShoto's new move in Japanese, the name has both Enji (Endeavor) and Rei(the mom)'s kanji in it. Rei-En Hakujin. Idk it makes me so emotional that he uses both of his parents name instead of like previous move Han-rei Han-netsu he only used his mother's name.

2024-06-25 21:52:44 +0000 UTCMan, I love Dabi! 💙💙💙 Definitely one of the best characters in all of MHA! No matter how fucked up he is, I just can't hate him... It's just so sad and unbelievable how much suffering and pain he had to experience. I always have tears in my eyes when I think about it... And it just makes me angry that everyone, whether Endeavor or All for One and his underlings, saw him as a failure and abandoned him! He was really abandoned by everyone. And he's not dead! 😢 I mean, Shoto had said before that his intention isn't to kill him, just to stop him. And in the fight, one of Endeavor's sidekicks mentioned that if Toya keeps heating up his flames, he will most likely die, and since Shoto's final blow was a huge amount of ice, which ended up freezing Toya too, it's highly likely that this move has cooled his body down so that Toya doesn't destroy himself any further. So Shoto literally saved Toya's life with this blow! And I actually think that's so beautiful, because the whole time Toya basically wanted nothing more than to die and he thought that everyone didn't care about him, but then along comes Shoto, his little brother, who he's only ever hated until now because he got everything he never had himself and in the end saves his life. His life, which he had viewed as worthless and unimportant, was viewed by his little brother as valuable and important... 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

2024-06-25 09:32:40 +0000 UTCMy heart will always hurt for Touya :( I also think it’s sad to see the parallels between them, like Shoto had friends to help him overcome his troubles and find himself but Touya never had anyone. He was alone to the end and then we see the child in him crying with Shoto 😭😭
