If I were a ghoul I'd want to live too but unless you can cure and/or reliably control the human flesh need of ghouls en masse, the only reasonable path forward is to enslave humans and use them as livestock. You can't create a society where half the population needs to eat the other half. So one side has to win or they have to fix ghouls, which is tantamount to dominating them because the vast majority of ghouls embrace their hunger

And even if they never did, how do we know they never will ? they NEED to eat and anything can happen. That whole situation is way more complicated than "innocent or not" and most of the time, it would be wiser to not trust ghouls.

And maybe if the good humans talked things with good ghouls, ghouls could assembly a force like 'police' who would hunt bad ghouls, that would be one of ways out of this loop of killing. Also, who said 'the ghouls who kill and eat humans get no hate'?? Bro, they would get hate, if people talked about them. But they're not exactly the subject of the talks. As you can see in this season, it's mostly about ghouls who don't kill humans etc. So the subject is about humans killing innocent ghouls.

2024-06-28 07:17:10 +0000 UTCwhy am i still on the side of ghoul hunters lol. i know its framed that the ghouls are protagonists but at the end of the day it's like, imagine if this was real life with vampires. when it comes down to it, i can never inherently trust someone who subsides off of eating people and has an insatiable hunger for them. Even our main character is not a safe person to be around and he despises the idea of eating people. Like, put ghouls in quarantine until they die out. Not gonna have a happy society where one species has to eat the other. The ghouls have to go, because if the humans go, the ghouls die off anyway, and 99% of the time they can't reproduce so they're kind of just a really dangerous disease

So she didn't recognize the ring or anything, she just realized that he probably just lost someone and was looking for revenge, just like she did. Tokyo Ghoul generally does a really good job of showing that humans and ghouls are just two sides of the same coin...
