Hey props to you notes guy! While I don't agree with having one, I do wanna say good job taking on that role for them and I hope you are compensated in some form, even if it's just a thank you from them since I'm guessing you're getting no monetary compensation. As an adult with a 9-5 I understand how much a sacrifice it is to take a small part of your day just to do this and I want to let you know I appreciate the work of it all you will put into it at least.

As someone who volunteered to do the notes I think this is an awesome idea. Yes, if you do a good job of taking notes and reviewing the information you already know, you can definitely make predictions based on that or even just have a better feel for what's going on at any given moment, but as you said the anime is constantly giving flashbacks and reiterating old info when it becomes relevant (which can sometimes be annoying for binging, but if you're taking it slow and only watching 2 eps per session I think it's quite helpful). Rest assured, when the anime wants to make sure the audience understands something, they will.

I hope the team making the bullet point summaries for you help to refresh your memories of the show and clarify things only up till the episodes. I think you should have a moderator to vet through the documents before you guys read it too just in case unless the summary team has to be really vigilant about not accidentally including any spoilers/hints. Ron got that right about the relationship for Whitebeard, Ace and Blackbeard. Eneru looks like lightning and if you think about it, you cannot really stab lightning can you? If you recall we have people like Crocodile and Smoker. This is one of my favourite arcs as it opens the world of One Piece and it's possibilities. Oda-sensei gives the little bits of info like puzzles and slowly you will connect the dots to reveal the bigger plots is going to be so mind blowing. And the South bird with Zoro always cracks me up because Zoro has to go South and he literally has a walking compass next to him. It just shows how bad of a direction he has. XD

Missing some small things its part of the journey, but its easy to miss important things, that will make you more confused in the future. Ace and Black Beard belong to the White Beards crew. Black Beard killed a crew member of White Beard's group, where Ace has a higher rank then Black Beard and he got assigned or volunteer to deal with him. Its Like Sanji killing nami and got away with it and Luffy would send Zoro after him. Luffy's dont give positions to his crew, but a lot of big pirates groups do have a hierarchy among them.

You guys might get mad at this but, since I'm on team just watch the show and don't think about it too much, I found it funny Michelle and Ron were stressing out about the notes guy. I still think you guys can watch it and if you miss something it's okay. One Piece has a lot of recaps and flashbacks so whatever you miss will be brought up again through dialogue or they just straight up flashback to the thing they're going to be talking about. I think a better idea than a notes guy would be to just highlight a comment from someone about something you missed. Like a comment of the day or something. That kind of makes it more of an interaction with the audience too. And also comments are free, unless the notes guy is doing it for free too then that's cool of them to do.

I absolutely love One Piece and it's still my fav manga series ever! However, I missed out on A LOT of details back then too (including the whole relationship between Ace & Blackbeard until much later when things came to a head) I didn't pay any attention to "D" too. But these critical details will be brought up again (Oda knows his audience) and it didn't diminish my enjoyment of the series, whatsoever. Take it at your own pace. I love you guys!

It's interesting because reacting is essentially your job. Maybe it feels like you need to know certain things because people are pointing things out. But for me at least, it's not like I'm watching this because I need to learn something from you guys. I'm watching your journey and experiences. If you don't know something, that's part of the experience. You're going to find out or hear about something again at some point later. I would say One Piece is still my favorite anime after all this time. And I've only watched it through once, so I'm rewatching it with you guys. I've forgotten some of these things, but I don't think it took away anything.

I really wish people would stop "clarifying" things that the show hasn't even brought up yet. They don't need to know anything about Eneru's power that hasn't been stated in the show yet. Only one type of Devil Fruit has been fully explained so far, and that's ZOAN. Even if they have seen an example of this type of power before, you do not have to point it out. Nobody would link Crocodile to Eneru on their first watch! LET THEM SPECULATE! Confusion is good at times, as long as they haven't MISSED anything, which they haven't when it comes to Eneru. Man, some of you are annoying. I know this won't change anything but at least it's off my chest lol... Carry on
