Yeah this is a point that tends to confuse a lot of people. Rimuru often heavily underestimates not only himself but his subordinates as well. He does it many times throughout the series to the point that when it comes to power scaling, Rimuru is a very unreliable source of information lol It is probably a biproduct of how quickly everyone in this nation has gotten so strong, but Rimuru seems to not understand just how monstrous he and his top executives are. In this instance, Benimaru serves as the foil to Rimuru. Benimaru knew that the 3 Giant brothers were no match for him, Shion, Diablo and probably a few other top executives. Even knowing that if Shion did not hold back her anger enough, she could have seriously injured or killed them. Basically when it comes to Rimuru's opinion on either his or his executives strengths, just assume that they are significantly more powerful than he tells us.

There's so much they can't fit in due to the way they need to carry the narrative forward without getting it bogged down too much. In case you had forgotten, the letter Rimuru reveals is the letter Milim sent him via Gabiru asking him to teach her followers how to cook (since they only offer her raw vegetables all the time). In case you're confused as to how Milim can capture dragons (which are the greatest and most powerful existences in this world), it's mentioned in the manga (and most probably in the novel too) that the dragons Milim will bring are "lesser dragons", or "lizards" as Veldora calls them. There are only 4 true dragons (including Veldora) in the world. The lesser dragons originated from the dragon pet that Star King Dragon Veldanava gifted to his daughter, Milim. When that dragon died and became the chaos dragon (in Eren's fairytale/Milim's backstory), the dragon factor spread throughout the world, creating lesser dragons. We know or heard of 3 true dragons so far, the last was introduced back in Season 2. Yes, next episode is sure to be hilarious.

Also fun fact Gobuemon is actualy pretty strong, he fought gobta for the position of vice captain when Rigur was captain but he lost. Also in the novel Rimuru gives him a gift I won’t spoil it in case they show it later but it’s pretty cool. Also this is all building up and they’re going through so much to make it fit into the anime. The dragons that milly got actually get even stronger since all of the magicules and their floors turn into their domain so basically like the ice dragon turns their floors into ice and stuff like that which is really cool. Just thought yall should know since it’s not explained in the anime. Next episode is going to be hilarious 😂 just so you know I can’t wait for yall to see it!!!
