It is funny seeing the parallels between Masayuki and Rimuru in terms of the ease of gathering allies and stuff just working out for them, but I think that is where the difference lies. Unlike Rimuru, Masayuki literally doesn't do anything and gets dragged along the path of the hero by his skill. Despite Masayuki himself being relatively inept, this one Unique skill is said to approach the efficacy of an Ultimate skill and he is basically at its mercy. Upon introduction, I think Masayuki as a character is supposed to be the author parodying common tropes of the isekai genre. Narratively, Masayuki is basically the same character as Shadow (Cid Kagenou) from The Eminence in Shadow. It is quite amusing to watch

To put rather One Piece or Black Clover in it's spot, both anime are very long. Do a poll at least to see if people want a new anime or for one of the longer ones to get more episodes.

2024-08-05 04:47:28 +0000 UTC"The Chosen One" is such an OP skill to have, but kinda annoying too. Imagine being thrown into these situations just by having this skill. Everything works out in the end and you don't need to do anything, but I can feel it would be just exhausting all the same. Oh yes, viewers who have seen the OVAs will recognize a few of the background characters in this episode too.

2024-08-05 03:46:28 +0000 UTCI want to know what Yuki is plotting since he's the one who was behind the slave trade so him sending Masayuki to "act as a decoy" must've been a way to push a confrontation between "The Chosen One" and Rimuru. Also, ngl, with all the stuff going on in the world, it's really nice to have an enjoyable low stakes show in the mix when it comes to my anime entertainment.

If you were to watch and read again, the Lightspeed Hero Masayuki's Unique skill "Chosen One" is rather crazy. The sub-skills of it are - Heroic Presence: A presence projected only by Heroes. Lesser beings are overwhelmed and rendered immobile when it is emitted. - Heroic Charm: Those who see the Hero in action are inspired, and begin to believe in the Hero and want to walk in his footsteps. - Heroic Action: The Hero's actions set an example for his friends and earn him praise. Under the influence of the "Chosen One", everyone around suddenly displays incredible strength.
