I'm super late on this since this is my first watch, but your opinion is totally valid ron. This show definitely doesn't have stakes, drama, risk, and loss like other shows, but imo that's what I love about it lol. If you're asking me what a show needs to be an all time goated anime, then yeah slime is missing some elements. But imo that's what I feel makes it special. It doesn't try to be what its not. I compare it to one piece on steroids, in the sense that you just... Feel reallyyyy positive, happy, have fun watching it, and everything always works out. Slime is missing things that make a lot of shows great, but what slime DOES have is this happy feeling you get watching it that I haven't quite seen in another show before. But I totally get if you want more from a show. And this season in particular has been a bit slow.

2024-10-10 03:17:16 +0000 UTCRon's mindset is totally valid and I think it is one a lot of anime fans that may be newer or have only seen one type of anime can share! The issue is, I think a lot of people seem to expect Tensura to be a generic battle shounen for some reason. And then when they get a season like this, their expectations are not met and they are disappointed in the show because they didn't really know what it was about. This season happens to adapt the portion of the novels that focus on political intrigue, world building, and slice of life more than fighting. There is a lot of fighting to come but Arcs like this are what makes Tensura a more complete and well rounded story. As someone who knows the future plot, I can assure viewers that stuff that is set up in this arc pays off big time down the road! I am very excited for later seasons

I’m waiting for that time to come especially since they reveal a lot of things even some stuff that happened in season 1 get brought back and you finally start to see the full picture.

MY opinion is the show is a bad watch. it used to be one of my favorite animes and ive read all of the novels which are great. i literally recommended an anime without action entirely and this fuckin retard says "if you want constant action".

I agree tho, this season has been slowwwww for me at least. A little too much dialogue even tho i'm happy hinata and rimuru spoke
