What I’m trying to say is I think it’s okay to watch fillers because it is essential or helpful to the plot, but watching filler arcs because some people say it’s good filler is a slippery slope because next filler arc some other people might say “oh but I like this one and you watched the previous filler that the other person liked”. And then you go on filler detours which put a halt to the progression of the main story for 2 weeks

This is also something that I personally really enjoyed when I watched One Piece for the first time. I can't wait until you get to the current arcs. Today's One Piece animation is nothing other than peak! 🔥🔥🔥

In naruto you decided to watch the Kakashi filler and it adds to the story so I kinda get it, but are you gonna watch every One Piece filler when someone says “it’s good you should watch it”? No drama, I’m just curious since if you are not watching One Pace and on top of that watch fillers then it can get a bit jarring at points, but I’ll still be here for the ride

2024-08-21 04:07:01 +0000 UTCI love the G8 filler arc old school comedy. It is one of the most favourite filler arcs that One Piece fans love and don't mind watching. Fillers are usually made due to the anime is caught up to the manga as it is still publishing every week. Long running old anime like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, DBZ did not have the luxury of just ending at a certain point of the story in the manga like current anime and coming out with so many seasons and season parts so they do not need to create filler and drag the scenes in the anime to give time until they have more chapters from the manga. Current anime have the privilege to be divided into seasons and be made after enough story is published by the mangaka and can be made into anime with no fillers. And they can make people wait for each season.

Watching it in Japanese Dub is gonna just be a waste of time. Most people want you to watch it only for a specific few iconic episodes...and its mostly the Animators that made that bit as funny as it is. In other words it has Accents and that cannot be copied in Japanese DUB. One Piece is my absolutely favorite anime so im telling you this as one of its biggest fans. Please just skip it instead of doing it in JP dub.

I know water 7 saga is great but don't ask them to skip long ring long land arc. I personally really like it as it is all about having fun, and skipping it is quite disrespectful to oda as he wrote it with a reason.

2024-08-20 21:45:47 +0000 UTCYe this whole Navy Base isnt in the manga, also Fillers are usually inserted when the anime is too close to the manga and its mostly a weekly anime problem like naruto, OP, Bleach, DB, BlackClover. Also Anime episodes end different than manga chapters, sometimes Episodes end in the middle of a Manga chapter, so reading the manga is mostly a pretty different expirience.

I understand wanting to get to peak ASAP, but it's a long journey guys, there's no point in rushing them to the best parts. In fact, the peaks hit harder because of going through the valleys.

And it directly contributes to the individual character states of that arc too. It just Toei that dragged it out and added 7 more episodes than there needed to be. It'll be fine if they watch One Pace for LRLL and then just resume watching from One Piece 227.

Peeps always act like Oda is a perfect writer when he clearly slips up several times throughout the story. In my opinion long ring island is one of those slip ups; I will take it back if long ring island has any relevance at all at any point in the story lmao
