I like how you guys wondered if the science presentation about magicules was going to be important later on and the show immediately answered you! Because of the presentation, Luminus wanted to send some researchers to Tempest, and in exchange for taking them in she granted Rimuru the skill that now allows him and his followers a much better understanding and use of Holy Magic! Yes Michelle, this is a huge power up! It is the skill that enables the Western Holy Church to use Holy Magic in Luminus's name! The spells like Disintegration, Trinity Break, Resurrection, and a lot of other forms of healing magic are all Holy Magic! Rimuru's followers who are suited to magic will now be able to use these spells in the future! They got the long term benefit of scientific exchange with many nations, and the immediate benefit of a new form of power. The effect is usually not so immediate in this show, but there are many cases where details and events presented come back much later on and prove to be crucial even if we did not know it at the time. That is one of the things I love about this series!

2024-10-10 04:16:31 +0000 UTCI enjoy this show because it really show so much action and consequence in a way that we don’t see in other shows it really focuses on smaller details that build the bigger pictures so that when something monumental happens it feels like you understand what got you to that specific point in detail. It’s very political when it comes to every choice and it’s cool.
