Is a prologue for season 3 and, if you dont watch it, you could be a little confused in the ep 1 of Season 3. That an advice, so if you want, you should watch this OVA before Season 3 :D

You may not always get it right the first try so now you know that duck meat does not need to be cooked too long and you will get the timing better next time you cook it. As for the anime, don't worry about it as the plot thickens and the only repetitive thing would be the cook off Shokugeki with more dishes you can learn and would want to cook for yourself. ^^
