I’m not a hater a hater would find reason to be mind and dislike a show I don’t dislike it I’m just not going to overhype it and act like it’s peak the way so many of you do. It has its issues and some stick out more than others. It’s absolutly carried by nostalgia. Once I let it go I was able to see this especially compared to so many other shows with better characterizations writing and choreography. Even the animation has noticeable flaws but it’s not a bad show or series it’s just I can see now when I wasn’t looking at all before. It’s okay if you don’t feel the same

I strongly disagree with this. Krillin becomes pacifist. Vegeta learns Family pride over self Pride Goku learns to accept his inner self and his saiyan pride Piccolo learns what it means to love and be a father Gohan changes multiple times and sets an example for a what a true defender should be 18 gets over her teen years and becomes a well rounded adult. Master roshi controls his perversion. I can keep going and going. most of the cell saga was choreographed beautifully. I think you really needed to remove your nostalgia lenses for sure but you put on hater glasses instead.

Dragon ball series is simply a roller coaster but it’s not the kind of show that has good writing tbh it’s just a lot of fighting don’t expect character development it’s not that kid of show. I use to be a huge fan but once you take off the rose colored glasses it’s kind of mid actually. No fight choreography most of the show the characters don’t change at all except for one of them idk to each his own I guess but it’s not a deep meaning show to be realistic

@SY you should watch aot, tbf the animation is quite sick but it isnt what makes it a top show for me, i do prefer naruto but to say AOT lacks depth/complexity is outrageous tbh and does probably take Naruto on that note, if depth is what you like then tbh it should be right up your alley, then theres Steins Gate :)

the pacing is pretty awful with some of the flashbacks and dont get me started on when they left a massive cliffhanger then did fillers for eight odd months, hit us with two new eps then did more fillers, but nostalgia doesnt carry the show imo its the story and the characters. Even AOT was my go to starter anime suggestion for S1 and then i really didnt enjoy S2 due to the pacing of information delivered to us viewers and id just have 20 new questions each week with no answers and chars like eren sitting there all hot headed instead of asking a the glaring quesstion in the room most humans would ask. Then S3 hit and i was like hangon wtf is this peak and it became a top anime for me for many season after, which sadly for me ended with the movies, which i enjoyed but some stuff seemed a bit pointless and one thing involving love made absolutely no sense at all. Narutos final episode was perfect imo

I don't believe this has been talked about yet. Someone else explains it later. The only thing that is known from watching is that killing a close friend can unlock the Mangekyo, and taking a brothers eyes unlocks the Eternal Mangekyo. Everything else has not been spoken about. Either way I don't think they look at comments except the first few for this reason.

Just a clarification the Mangekyo Sharingan is unlocked through immense emotions especially pain, trauma of having lost a loved one. But mangekyo Sharingan with extensive use can make it’s user blind, the visual abilities of a mangekyo sharingan differs from person to person , but in order to obtain an Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan with no drawback of blindness it needs a transplant of another Sharingan of strong blood ties , hence why sasuke got his eternal mangekyo from transplanting Itachi’s eyes into him.

Hey Shit for brains it was a catalyst it played a huge role in his decision. Jiraya died and you didn’t see Naruto starting a war. Naruto used it as fuel to get better and he did. Fr. I binged the first 8 eps of mid slayer like 3 years ago and couldn’t get invested in the story. It’s just too basic and the MC is pretty lame with zero substance. Never watched AOT but ik it’s overhyped cuz if it had Naruto’s animation nobody would talk about that show n we all know it. Animation carries it point blank period. Mostly because Nagato wasn't an orphan when he supposedly got the rinnegan eyes implanted into him. If you remember Nagato's backstory, the day his parents died, we saw a shot of his rinnegan from underneath his hair. That means he must've at the very least had those eyes since earlier that day. So, unless we assume that Nagato's parents don't look him in the eyes when talking to him, the explanation that Madara implanted those eyes without anyone noticing makes absolutely zero sense.

I would imagine he did the same type of training people do for repressed memories. Because I'm sure that he repressed killing Rin. And then once he knew he had it, he trained chakra control because it takes a lot Oh also all the Uchiha were dead, so nobody to teach him about it. So since he was unconscious, perhaps it didn't click on again until he reached peak training. Like Goku type training. He has no reason to train that hard until Shippuden

The Kakashi fillers are 1 of 3 if i remember right "filler arcs" (though it is canon) that i think are basically essential watches, you can still skip and follow the show as normal but it adds so much to kakashi as a character and also just gives more significant moments of story, basically just standard shippuden things really

As you already know, Mangekyo Sharingan unlocks when you kill the one most important to you. Rin was the closest person to Kakashi, so when he killed Rin he unlocked it, but Obito unlocked it as well as they have the same eye. Kakashi just didn’t know it, as he fainted from exhaustion and didn’t know he had it basically before Shippuden, which is why he never used it in OG Naruto. And every MS has its unique ability, like Itachi had Tsukuyomi nightmare realm in one eye and Amaterasu in the other. When I was a kid and I was reading the manga ahead of the anime, I remember going to forums that discussed anime online (before reddit was a thing) and people had already started throwing out theories that tobi was obito by the time. I won't go over every detail because some of it is technically still spoiler-y but the details that sold me the most were obviously the names, Tobi vs Obito, as well as when he was first introduced and took sasori's ring and position in the akatsuki as deidara's new partner. He's shown in the manga with bolts along the left side of his body around his arms, which made some sense considering that he was crushed by boulders. After that I was sold on the theory, and when the reveal came I was telling all my friends about how I'd been subscribed to the theory for ages LOL

So for me it was perfect from start to finish but some people felt the last “arc” was a bit rushed but the very ending is one of the best in anime in my opinion. I HIGHLY recommend giving it an honest try. The dark tournament arc is amazing

It all depends on u getting over the animation style. Its really goofy, almost embarrassing at times. It took me a while before watching it to even watch one episode. I used to trash it and revere Naruto Shippuden as the best anime ever. I was bored one day and just watched a random episode. Thats all it took. I started it after that from ep1 and quickly got hooked. Now i look back and the animation is necessary for what Oda envisioned it to be. Im not saying to do what i did, but if u can get past the animation, the storyline is the best there is. There is no rule to it. If u like naruto then thats just your thing. I love naruto. Rin for Obito was like Iruka for naruto. Shes the one that was always kind to him when no one else cared. Unlike naruto though, she was also his love interest so there was so much there in his heart for her. He built his whole entire world around her and used that as motivation to be better, even squaring things up with Kakashi. Its not just Rin dying but the fact that its Kakashi also that killed her is what pushed him over the edge. It was far more than a mere crush

Yeah this part of the writing isnt perfect but it is crucial to understand. Its not just Rin. It's similar to how Nagato didnt do all that 'just' for Yahiko. Madaras not doing it 'just' for his brother. Sasuke's not doing it 'just' for Itachi. And to me, the reason why it works, despite being confusing, is that they do a good job showing how miserable the shinobi world is. It makes sense to have these outlandish plans for peace.

Rinne rebirth brings people back as they were when they died, as shown at the end of pain's assault, and so if nagato used rinne rebirth for madara he would've revived as a wrinkly ass old man on his deathbed and weak as shit 🤣 I absolutely love madara but his revival plan is the dumbest thing ever.

These are the rare moments when you should ignore the majority's wishes and watch the Kakashi filler episodes. I'm honestly surprised people voted to skip them, but at the same time, it makes sense. For the longest time, people have heard that Naruto fillers are bad and should be skipped, so they follow filler lists blindly, assuming everything is irrelevant to the lore, low-budget, and poorly made. But this isn't the case. I've noticed you guys really love the characters backstories and I truly believe you'd enjoy Kakashi's. Plus, it also explores the backstories of a few other characters, which is a bonus. Trust me, don't skip it you'll regret it, and the viewers will definitely appreciate how amazing the backstory is.
