2024-09-10 11:02:00 +0000 UTCFrom what I understand from the Japanese I learned, Akame ga Kill in Japanese, アカメ(Akame) が(ga) 斬る(kiru), translates to Akame kills. が is a particle that is used after a noun to mark the subject of a sentence and a verb/action is used after が. Meaning, (Noun) が (Verb). Akame is the subject/Noun and kill is the action/verb. 斬る(kiru) also can be used and has the meaning of cut, slaughter, decapitate, murder etc.

Akame ga kiru literally means “Red eyes kill”, implying that the killing is done by cutting with a sword. It can also be translated by "Red eyes cut" or "Red eye slash"... you get the idea. "Red eye" is written in katakana in the title so it refers to the name "Akame" (which means "red eye"). + the sentence in the title is not complete since the explicit use of "ga" indicates that there is no object -> it doesn't mention who is "killed", it's just the action of killing. SO the title means "Akame kills" or "Akame cuts". Now why is that the title ? Just watch the show lol don't think too much about it. PS : the official international version of the title is "Red Eyes Sword"

But even if you do think that (like if people in the comments tell you to stop or they don't think it's good) you've gotta stick it out. Some episodes can feel uneventful, but the last episodes of this one are some of my favorite episodes in any anime I've watched. This show is in my top 10, I come back and watch it once a year. Can't wait for more!!
