Kinda disappointed with those who voted to skip. No matter how bad the arc is, voting to skip when it is manga Canon is just saddening. Since the majority vote result is to skip, I won't be petulant about it. I'm glad R&G will still be watching it offscreen on their own is enough. It's part of the story and experience so I voted for them to at least watch it on One Pace since there was the anime canon and stretch out scenes for Foxy arc. Foxy arc is my least favourite arc too I would say but I wouldn't ask them to skip just because 'I' don't like that arc. I still enjoyed the arc but it wasn't my fav either. Hope Michelle and Ron give a short review after watching it on their own. 😊 Moving on, we have arrived at this new Saga which is one of my favourite. The first roller coaster ride we have been waiting for! So excited and happy they are about to start this Saga most of us love!

Look I get it man, I was one of those guys fighting hard to "not skip" but I also recognize that these two are providing a service for their paying audience. A poll was conducted and a vast majority ruled for them to skip the arc. I'm in your camp I don't agree with that decision at all, but I'm not gonna get mad and start targeting Ron and Michelle for simply listening to their mods and audience. If you feel some type of way about all this, it's def not them you should be upset at. These guys are genuine, they enjoy reacting to this show. They're not just chasing the "one piece" bag. So Aokiji (pronounced OW-KEE-JEE) was canonically meant to appear at the end of the arc we just skipped, he makes his first appearance at the end of chapter 318. However the anime took some liberties and removed his involvement from that arc entirely. It's just one of the many ways in which the anime studio did a disservice to the Long Ring arc. His name is a reference to the famous Japanese folktale, the "Legend of Momotaro". One of the characters in that story is a bird or pheasant which is what part of Aokiji's name translates to: "Ao" > blue and "Kiji" > pheasant. His likeness is also based off of the late Yusaku Matsuda, a very famous and prominent Japanese actor. And lastly Aokiji is over 9 feet tall, so yeah he's a big boy. Sorry for the long info dump but Aokiji's a huge favorite of mine, couldn't help but to yap about him a little. Hope you're excited for this arc, as everyone's been saying it's a real good one. Btw the intermission animations are gonna stay as only Luffy for a while, but rest assured the other characters will have their own animations soon enough.

I understand skipping the foxy pirate arc because you guys don’t really react to the comedic part of one piece. You mainly focus on the realness of one piece as if it was Naruto, bleach or any other anime that is current. One Piece is a comedy at first then seriousness. You guys did not laugh once at nami vs Mrs. Doublefinger. Which proves you are looking for triumphants rather than laughing your way up to up . Which is one piece identity. Laughing your way up is way more an accomplishment than being serious and making it; because being funny and winning if not it, for it is different than the regular.

The anime does a very poor job of adapting that arc, and the arc itself adds very little to the story or characters, so it is understandable that people paying to watch might not want to spend over a month on it. They’ll probably be finished watching it on their own in a week or two, so I think it was a great solution on their part.

Yeah, this leaves a sour taste. I am pretty disappointed that this many "OP fans" are claiming foxy arc is a filler and should be skipped. And I am also disappointed that you guys skipped it. I wouldn't mind if you still watched (or read) the foxy arc even off screen before continuing the story. But just dismissing an entire arc and continuing the show feels disrespectful to the story, the show and the author. Audience may like or dislike an arc, find it exciting or boring, successful or unsuccessful in what it is trying to achieve but audience does not dictate what is a part of story and what is not, what is the order of the story. Did you think Oda just decided to write 19 chapter arc that is inconsequential and can be removed from story without meaning much? Personally, I don't love Foxy arc, especially in anime. It is one of my lesser rated arcs. But that doesn't mean it is an empty arc. There are lots of themes and character moments that carry out throughout next arc and rest of the story. And I think it still adds to arcs that follow it. I know your mods are preparing a summary to you but a story is not just a list of plot points. I subscribed to the channel for One Piece, and I was happy with your reactions whether if I agreed or not as long as it is honest reactions. I know you put out a vote and you can say this is what patrons wanted, in the end it is a content that is sold. However, for me at least this feels more like targeted and packaged product rather than seeing spontaneous opinions and reactions of two people that are just watching a show.
