2022-01-26 13:37:37 +0000 UTC(Not a spoiler) I think the reason why Gabi shot Eren instead of Zeke was because the anti-titan sniper was too heavy for her to even lift it and aim it to the ducked down Zeke. Therefore she had no choice but to use the supports that was attached to the sniper to rest it and accurately shot Eren in order to stop their contact with each other.

The reason why Historia is not an option is because Eren can't use the Founder's ability simply by touching her. Historia has to be turned into a titan (mindless one or titan shifter, it doesn't matter). This is why she is not an option because either option (mindless titan or shifter) shortens/ends her life because of the 13 year curse. Eren obviously doesn't want that for her, or any of his other friends for that matter. Just wanted to explain this bit because I think you might have missed this important fact.

Also Tasha it's possible that Gabi didn't see Zeke from her angle with all the smoke and such blocking the vision. Overall great reaction yall! i remember i read this part and your reaction was the same as mine. (this is the last one i remember from the manga so im going in blind the rest of this season lol). Tre had me rolling tho with the scream he had after what happened!
