Also if I remember correctly there was an old lady at the beginning of the Entertainment Distract Arc that told the story about Daki. I’m assuming that lady was at least 70 - 80 years old. So yeah I believe they’ve been demons more than a hundred years.

I started reading it after the mugen train movie, got to chapter 167, stopped reading for a little bit (not because I lost interest, I just loafed on picking it up again 😭), then picked it back up and finished it last Monday. I was so emotionally drained afterwards lol. I definitely recommend reading the manga.

That's a lot of different Hashira so you'd have to assume that was over a long period of time. Until Akaza appeared the current group of Hashira had never encountered an Upper Rank Demon.
