Second this is not the final version of Zatana, she's still young and probably hasn't reached her comic potential where she doesn't need words for her spells. Lastly did you guys not notice Zod's face when that kid said father and mother he looked wary like he doesn't trust that person. Final thing. The green lantern at the beginning of the episode, i think, is the soin of the one who died.
