Next, don’t mix up personal weapons with Numbers Weapons as they’re totally different things. Personal weapons are custom gear given to Captains, Vice-Captains, and strong fighters like Kikoru. Everyone at that level has one. Numbers Weapons, though, are on a whole other level. They’re made from the bodies of super-powerful Kaiju that were strong enough to get numbered. So far, we know of ten Numbered Kaiju, with Kafka being No. 8. Using a Numbers Weapon takes a serious toll on your body and can actually shorten your life. Compatibility and strength also plays a crucial part to be able to use a Numbers Weapon. Here are some of the few Numbers Weapons we currently know. Numbers Weapon 1: Made using the retina of Kaiju No. 1., used by First Division Captain Narumi. The big blade/gun combo called the bayonet is his separate personal weapon. 2 different things. Numbers Weapon 2: A pair of gauntlets and a combat suit made from Kaiju No. 2, used by Director General Isao Shinomiya. Numbers Weapon 4: A combat suit made from Kaiju No. 4. Kikoru’s mother used this before she was killed in battle.

2025-08-04 08:48:54 +0000 UTCA few points to clarify - 1. They cant just give Kafka the eyes, not everyone can integrate/work with the numbered weapons. Narumi is the only one in the defense force who is compatible with the eyes. Even though this is not explicitly stated, but it still is a fair assumption. It has been stated that Isao is the only one who was able to integrate with Numbers Weapon 2, so I am drawing a conclusion that there needs to be a compatibility match for it to work. Who knows, Biology is complex. 2. Narumi is the strongest at this point in the defense force. Isao (Kikoru's father) in his prime was called the Strongest soldier in the history of defense force, but I am guessing he is past his prime.
