DAN DA DAN - S2 Episode 9

Comments

like they showed with Okarun threatening his classmate in turbo granny mode when they insulted Momo, the normal people can't see the cursed spirits so they look like their normal selves to everyone. so when we see Evil Eye others just see Jiji

What Granny Seiko is wearing around her belly is called a Haramaki, aka belly warmer. Zoro also wears a Haramaki. Those with no spiritual power or unawaken powers are not able to see spirits hence they don't see Evil Eye but only see Jiji acting weird.

I think the soccer scene was a reference to Shaolin Soccer. This anime actually references a ton of stuff from other animes and stuff

to normal people they see evil eye as jiji same with okaruns transformation

Notice that when evil eye took over jiji at school, he finally didn't burst out of his clothes.

Ron is right. People who don't watch anime deserve to be bullied. It'll make them rethink their life choices.

Only people who have awakened/become aware of their spiritual power can see spirits and their transformations. Its pretty similar to how regular humans cant see curses/techniques in JJK without some level of awareness for their cursed energy. Some people just naturally have it happen to them due to having so much of it (Jiji and Granny), some have it happen through supernatural experiences (Momo and Okarun), and even coming into contact with spiritual/cursed objects will cause it (Aira touching Okaruns gold ball). Theres also special cases in which children are more prone to being able to see ghosts than adults. Like how all the children who were able to see Evil Eye when he was a normal spirit, or kid Aira being able to see Silky out in the open sidewalk. Just something to clarify as it was something mentioned pretty early on but never explicitly stated again throughout the show. Hope it helps!

✨While normally orange hair would mean it's dyed, since Jiji's hair was the same color when he was little, that may not be the case. It's the usual anime prescription of "anime characters having different bright hair colors to make them identifiable and stand out from other characters". Like, the female lead and male lead have natural hair colors so the characters right outside them need to have different hair colors (Jiji = Orange, Aira = Pink). ✨Hoping for more slice of life moments for Evil Eye since he's just a baby that don't know a god damn thang. I want him to eat ice cream πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜ I've been wanting to say but I kept forgetting, I love how the author managed to get in the Ranma 1/2 water change, but it makes sense for the story. What I mean is, Evil Eye as a child burned to death so of course hot liquid would send him away.
