Nive theory, but nah Oda has said multiple times that he doesn't want the One Piece to be something intangible, like an idea or concept. While finding the One Piece may lead to what you are taking about, it is actually something physical. It may be that Roger didn't arrive at the right time though. Maybe whatever is there, can only be fully used, grasped etc at the right time.

So naive, y’all believe that after all this time Oda is prepping us to find some kind of a treasure chest? The One Piece is the world itself. The One Piece is the promised dawn and only Luffy is destined for it since he has all prerequisites to obtain it. The one piece can only be realized by someone who is strong enough to lead all pirates and usher in a new world; so Roger was nowhere strong enough to flip the world upside down. But before that, a person must learn the true history of the world and that’s by making it to Laugh Tale; then they’re acknowledged as ‘King of the pirates’—- meaning someone who has gone through the selective process and emerged strongest: specifically designed for the next Nika fruit user.

Fruit users must be **around halfway submerged in water** in order for the Curse to take effect. There has never, in the entire run of the manga/show, been an instance where plain seawater has been depicted to act like Kryptonite. Not. Even. Once. Fight me. You'll lose. (Yall in the community, \*\*HOW did you let them get THIS FAR into the show thinking like this? This is omega facepalm territory people (you know who you are)) This must have started with Crocodile... but his weakness to water had nothing to do with the Curse of the Devil Fruit. Water just makes him clump up (remain solid) like wet sand instead of being able to let his body disintegrate into sand particles. So no. Frozen seawater should NOT act like Kairouseki (sea prism stone). Sea Prism Stone is found in naturally occurring deposits of **the stuff in seawater that causes Devil Fruit users to lose their strength** I've been wanting to tear my hair out listening to them theorize how this or that character should or shouldn't be able to move or fight because they got a little wet. Posting this here for visibility because they aren't going to read old comments most likely --------------------------------------------------- Ways to allow guessing Luffy during the transition game (without ruining game for the player guessing second) Personally, I think it's silly to keep complaining about the statistical issues with guessing Luffy OR have a blanket "_No Luffy guesses because it's not fair_" policy. Just **patch it out** lol. Option Category 1 (raise the risk but keep the reward the same) - Double or nothing: Because you guys watch multiple episodes every time, require that a correct non-Luffy guess must follow any correct Luffy guesses - Single Elimination Chance: Rule that prevents anyone who guessed Luffy and got it wrong from guessing again that episode or that session (other player gets a by/automatically wins the next one) Option Category 2 (Change the rules of when Luffy can be guessed) - Pick your poison: Only allow Luffy guesses in the first or seccond episode of each reaction session. - Earn the privilege: Treat Luffy guesses like an unlock, and require a non-Luffy guess (correct or otherwise) before Luffy can be selected as a choice - Comeback mechanic: Only allow Lufffy guesses if player has 0 correct AND other player has at least 1 correct. Any of these can and **should** also be combined with **rotating who guesses first** (instead of putting Michelle on the spot every time lol). ---------------------------------------------------
