I believe this season only has 13 episodes that’s why pacing is fast I guess. I didn’t read the manga so I don’t know why manga readers hated on this arc but this season is really good so far as the final one.

Pacing is a bit fast and it sucks they couldn't include Alice, Ryou, and Hayama and instead went with the trio of Souma , Megumi, and Aldini again. One thing I like is the author is giving Aldini shine rival characters like him usually get done dirty as the main character moves on to newer stronger opponents.
