This means the current Emperor is Suirei’s uncle. If Jinshi is the younger brother of the current Emperor, then he would also be her uncle; if he's the Emperor’s son instead, that would make him Suirei’s cousin. The children’s mothers were drugged and are now so far under Lady Shenmei’s control that they no longer recognize or even care about their own children. Shisui(Loulan) has also been secretly taking abortion medicine ever since the Emperor visited her while she was still a concubine in the Rear Palace, to avoid any unintended pregnancies. Loulan showed a cruel kind of kindness by giving the children a peaceful death 😢. She knew that if a rebellion broke out, the whole clan, even women and children, would be killed. As tragic as it was, she did it to protect them from far worse pain and suffering. And the boy, Kyou though still so young understood what was happening, what was coming. Yet he still drank the poison medicine with a brave smile. 😢😢😢 I still felt emotional, even though I already knew what was going to happen. So be prepared! Can’t wait to see your reactions to these last few episodes!
