2025-10-17 00:00:55 +0000 UTCi can understand why anime onlys are judging this episode for what it is but if you actually read the manga you'd know that theres like a 90% chance they're saving the animation for later episodes. besides, this WAS a set the tone type of episode so with the way the manga goes, it should be picking up

2025-10-16 23:52:45 +0000 UTCAlthough several years have passed between Seasons 2 and 3 of One Punch Man, that doesn’t mean all that time was spent working on Season 3. In fact, it wasn’t until the end of 2022 that it was officially announced that animation studio J.C. Staff would be handling the project. Since One Punch Man isn’t their only anime in production, it had to be placed in a queue behind other commitments. They needed to complete those earlier projects before they could assign staff to begin work on Season 3. I do think they have placed budget on the fight scenes so hopefully we won’t be disappointed.

2025-10-16 22:59:57 +0000 UTCI'm with you. If I remember correctly, this arc has A LOT of fights and a lot of new characters. They could be saving for that. Also, this episode is only set up and dialogue, there's no reason for this episode to have mind-blowing animation.
