We also tend to have some "defenses" against some of these toxins, but it varies from person to person. There are also variables that can delay/affect the toxin spread/effects, such as climate, body fat etc.

The most powerful venoms are almost always neurotoxins, which affects your nervous system and it can immobilize you and even immobilize your diaphragm. And since it affects the nerves it doesnβt take much. Many of the most venomous snakes are also hemotoxic, which can kill red blood cells and damage any organs that blood passes through. Some also clot the blood abnormally so you could get a stroke from artery blockage. Scary stuff.
